Hi

I am Catholic and I am very intrigued about what these people say about my Church.I do not hate them,but I just believe they are not fair.
Take a look and tell me what you think about them.
I need advice on how to defend my Church better when people like them try to convice people that belong to the Catholic Church to fallow the Landover Baptist Church.

If I am not mistaken that “church” is a parody on fundamentalist Christianity. I could be confusing them with another Landover church, but I’m not sure. I can’t access the site here at work. Could you tell me what is on the homepage and I may be able to clarify for sure whether or not it’s legit.

This is not a real church. They created this site to mock Christians.

Thats why they contradict everyone?
They say that everything that does’nt belong to the Landover Baptist church is satanic.
Among the people that claim to belong to the Landover church there is none to agree wit the “unsaved trashes”.They are mean,racists,discriminators and all that leads to these or to these.
In a way its good…inverse pshychology,but in a way its bad,because it makes a bad name to Christianity.
I had loads of fun viewing the topics,but aside that im very scandalised by that site.And I’m dissapointed that there are people that behave like the owners of that site and the people who claim to be landover baptists.

I asked in other catholic forums too and people frm there told me also that the landover baptist website its a parody.So,finally,I can believe those people and you have more experience.I feel relieved.

I’ve been through alot of anger because of that site.:cool:
 
The dude who started it is very liberal and it is just an attack on conservative Christians.

it is true,the landover baptist website is a parody.but is scandalising people.both Christians and non-Christians.someone shoould ban that stupid website.

I’m not sure how that could happen unless someone sues them for slander.
 
At least we could pray so they won’t be strong in dissapointing people upon the Christian doctrine.

I know they are ac small bug among others buit the souls they lose will lose others…its like a chain that must be cut.
 
There have been multiple threads here about landover, and it is definitley a parody site.

As much as I and many others would like to see the site shut down, there is the matter of “free speech”.

We just have to pray for them, and those that visit the site.

Actually, the “dude who started it” was TWO students at Falwell’s Liberty Baptist University who were expelled for doing so.

Any help is welcome for me.
These guys know how to make one’s life a nightmare.
 
Sometimes we need to lighten up. We can pray for the owners of the website, but comedy isn’t a sin (at least not in my opinion anyway). If we become too tense about such satirical websites then we will be no different than say, Muslims who get uptight whenever someone mocks their prophet or religion.
 
Oh and they have an online shope where among other falacies they sell thongs wit the face of Jesus imprimed on them.
Thats so bad.

It should be obvious from reading the site. These are the sorts of things liberals imagine fundamentalists to say. But it is scary that real fundamentalists are close enough to this that not everyone realizes that it’s a parody.

Surely the best response to a site like this is to ignore it? Why obsess over it, now that you know it’s not a real group?

After 3-4 days of quarreling wit those people over why the Catholic Church is the true Church and why we have the traditions we have and why we worship Mary,and why they are racists and discriminators,I think they are stuck somewhere in my head now.I am shocked.I need some time to get over this.😦
