As close as we are to an election, and for as bad as the Dems say Trump is, to push this process in the way they are make them seem desperate. They are acting as if they will lose next November
 
Well if the rally numbers of all the currentcDems vying for the nomination are combined they are still abysmal

They apparently are remorseful about rules enacted by a republican majority in 2015.

I think if the Dems regain power in 2020, they’ll never let go of it again barring some cataclysmic event, because:
  1. The Repubs seem to be increasingly content to be the “loyal opposition” so long as they get some crumbs from the table.
  2. Every Repub contender for the presidency hereafter will realize he/she will face impeachment and destruction of his/her associates no matter what.
    3, They will weaponize every permanent part of the government; something they’ll have to do even if that wasn’t their instinct anyway, because they will have the absolute hostility of about 40% of the population.

Unless we get another Trump like candidate,the status quo Republicans don’t stand a chance against the dem machine.This is why they so desperately need to oust him before next year.Elijia Cummings is on record having said unless we impeach him he will be re-elected.

Fortunately for Republicans, the supreme Court just ruled that gerrymandering is constitutional, so they can just pick their voters instead of their candidates.
 
I’d say both sides abuse that. Be fair in your criticisms. I am no fan of either side doing it. Elijah Cummings was my rep. I live in a one of the “best places to live in America” according to Money Magazine, yet share my district with the mean streets of East Baltimore. Something is up with that. The residents here have little to nothing in common with the folks who lived 30 minutes away in some of the more dangerous places in America, yet we share the same representative.

That I did find. His point, going beyond the little quote, was that in the absence of impeachment on the findings of the Mueller reports - with its dozen instances of collusion and the cloud of obstruction of justice, Trump might be able to convince enough voters that, contrary to reality, he has been vindicated.

Of course that is all moot. The reality now is that his collusion and abuse of power in Ukraine is scarcely possible to overlook.

What the committees will recommend, and the full House will do, remains to be seen, but it is clear that this matter will not be just swept under the rug.
 
Of course not this sham must go on if for no other reason then to create a distraction from what William Barr is investigating and going to expose about the real quid pro quo,collusion,corruption ,blah blah blah.If you get my drift😏
