Of course.

Point being made: judges who were already on the bench (conservative judges. Judges appointed by Republicans) are responsible for Roe.
Regardless of who appointed them, Blackmun, Burger, Douglas, Brennan, Stewart, Marshall, Powell, none of these approach being originalists.

I came across this May 2016 opinion piece predicting the demise of the LGBT movement. It seems rather odd to make such a prediction when the movement is at the height of its popularity. Still, the movement arises out of the sexual revolution and turns human nature and human anthropology on its head. Such a rejection of human reality cannot endure indefinitely. So maybe she has a point. Here is an excerpt and a link to the article:

“Ideas have consequences, and gender ideologues are only beginning to grapple with the fruits of theirs. Political correctness can be powerful, but people are not endlessly willing to sacrifice themselves and their loved ones to its more ruinous offerings. Lacking the wherewithal to create a healthy culture, the LGBT movement will dwindle and die.
. . . . Future generations are sure to ask: how could the gender revolution ever have reached such absurdities? I intend to see that day.”

The LGBT movement, spiritually speaking, will not die until whatever time appointed by God when all are made whole.
Our inclinations of all kinds will last until that time.

As far as a civil/social movement, I fear the movement has sown the seeds of it’s own destruction.
The seeds this movement is sowing are deception and un-reason. Deception and un-reason work just fine as long as you are the one benefiting.
But opinions and popular favor come and goe. Imagine someone in the future with Donald Trump’s personality who direct that impulsive energy against gays and gains the popular support to discriminate against gay people…

Since this movement has built itself on intellectual and moral quicksand, to what will it appeal if the tide turns against it?

Please define “viciously anti gay”, and provide examples.
Please define “discrimination” against gay people.

My bad.
That was a poorly worded post. I shouldn’t have even used his name.
I edited the post.

Gamaliel, using the same logic as Ms. Lu, instructed his Jewish leaders on how to handle this new Christian movement in ~ 35 AD:
…As for the LGBT movement in the USA – how long can less than 4% of the population maintain a re-writing of the social norms of the entire community?

For so long as the majority -or at least politically significant numbers- continue to support the “rights” claimed by the 4%.

Do you really think that the Equal Protection Clause should only apply to the 90% of the population who aren’t LGBTQ?

Or that marriage requires a man and a woman?

Protections are good. Wrong-thinking…not so good.

I have a right to work.
Do I have a right to be a lion tamer?
A pro golfer?
How bout play in the WNBA?

Where’s my equal protection?

Exactly!
What next? Married bachelors? Monogamous adulterers? Atheist clergy?

We aren’t ‘discriminating’ against bachelors by saying you can’t call yourself a married bachelor.

That’s just your opinion. What makes you think you think right.
Reasoning applied to simple observation. Marriage is sexual relationship. Noting our sexual nature and our bodily form, it is clear that sexual relations between two men are incongruous. So two men attempting marriage is incongruous.

No NO. That’s YOUR observation.
You are bigoted against same sex couples who want to marry. It’s unfair. They love each other just like regular couples.

Why is it bigoted to hold that view?
How is it unfair?
