The LGBT movement will self destruct

I am sure the movement will self destruct. It is so completely insane and against nature that it can’t survive. It is the product of a tiny number of people in power and their brainwashing. But it doesn’t mean it is strong. I grew up in a communist country. I was a teenager when it collapsed, and I remember most people older than me were so shocked it happened, they never imagined it possible. But here we are. History is full of such anecdotes, once mighty empires and ideological systems now long gone.

Homosexuality is a dead-end street. Eventually, homosexuals will experience darkness and will find themselves seeking the strong light found in religion. Repentant homosexuals will likely become wiser than most having experienced their having been so easily duped.

Being gay is not an “ideological system”. There will always be people who are sexually attracted to others of their own sex. Over the centuries, most of them might have been in the “closet” because they were afraid of persecution, but now that they’re out, they’re not going to go back into hiding.

True, but the progressive movement has developed an ideological system around it, as they have numerous other groups and movements. Which leads me back to what I said earlier in the thread, as long as the progressive movement can use (exploit) the gay community to its ends, the LGBT movement will continue. Once it no longer does, it will be discarded, or at best, ignored. At worst, as the progressive movement even more closely aligns with radical Islamic groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, at some point gays will become a target.
Alinsky at his best.

So you think that the progressive movement is going to align itself with radical Islamic groups? That is a totally new conspiracy theory that I’ve never heard before and quite a doozy.

Have you not noticed that Muslims are one of the protected minority groups of the left?
In Europe very much so.

Thanks for clarifying, this is exactly what I meant. Of course, homosexual behaviour has always existed but it has never been turned into an ideology like now. What we are witnessing is a new phenomenon.

I’m not claiming a conspiracy. It seems pretty open. Huma Abedin, perhaps Clinton’s closest adviser, is suspected of having ties, rather close ties, to the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama clearly sided with the Muslim Brotherhood during the so called “Arab Spring”. There are numerous other examples, including Clinton’s close ties and financial links to other Islamic countries and entities.
But even if the links are dead ends, people in the LGBT community ought to be wary of hitching their wagon to the progressive movement.

First of all, the Muslim Brotherhood is not really a “radical Islamic group.” Historically, it’s been a fairly moderate Islamic group. The Muslim Brotherhood won a democratic election in Egypt, so it makes sense that the US government if it really believes in democracy would support the Muslim Brotherhood over a military backed dictator like al-Sisi. And as for ties between Clinton and Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, those ties are no closer than the ties that the Bushes have had with those same countries.

And if not the progressive movement, who else would you suggest that the LGBT community hitch their wagon to instead?

Constitutional conservatives, who believe in constitutional rights protected by the enforcement of limited central government.

The Muslim Brotherhood is not moderate.
