Probably Stairway to Heaven or American Pie
Idk if anyone has posted this one but time stops by explosions in the sky. This is primarily to see if anyone can beat my personal record for long songs, and especially what I’ve got on my iPod.
As per the title, what’s the longest single song you enjoy listening to?
Being a progressive rock musician, my personal favourite is Mike Oldfield’s Amarok, which is an hour long.

This is so interesting to me. When I have time tomorrow, I’m going through all responses. As for me, I can’t pick just one. Sniper, Better Place to Be andThere Only Was One Choice by Harry Chapin, and Roads to Moscow and Somewhere in England 1915 by Al Srewart. All unbelievable songs! This is primarily to see if anyone can beat my personal record for long songs, and especially what I’ve got on my iPod.

I just heard Ravel’s Bolero the other day on the Classic Arts Network in New York (Channel 75, CUNY TV), conducted by Herbert von Karajan. An amazing piece!Bolero by Maurice Ravel. It’s an instrumental piece so not really a song.
I heard Don perform American Pie a number of years ago. It is BETTER now, thanks to a wonderful extended piano piece before the last verse. “Queen and the Soldier” by Suzanne Vega is another awesome long song. There are two long songs I enjoy listening to. One is the famous “American Pie” sung by Don McLean. He still performs it around the country, often sharing the bill with another legendary folk singer, Judy Collins. The other is Bob Dylan’s “Rosemary, Lily, and the Jack of Hearts,” preferably sung by Joan Baez.
