On Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of October this year there is going to be a massive conference in London held by Marie Stopes. The conference was named ‘The Global Safe Abortion Conference’. As you’ve probably guessed by now, it will be run by abortionists who desperately want to make abortions more available in the UK and the rest of the World. Here is their mission statement:
  • The Marie Stopes International Global Conference on Safe Abortion, in association with Ipas and Abortion Rights, will confront both international and national issues associated with abortion, focusing on rights, access, advocacy and funding.

The conference will build consensus and momentum around international efforts to reduce the unacceptable toll on women’s health and lives caused by unsafe abortion, through increasing access to safe services, recognising women’s right to self determination and encouraging legal reform.

The conference will also mark the 40th anniversary (27 October, 2007) of the United Kingdom's 1967 Abortion Act, review current barriers to access and issues of concern in UK provision and practice, and seek ways to remove any barriers.

Marie Stopes International and its conference associates, Ipas and Abortion Rights, believe that with the active participation of stakeholders from across the sexual and reproductive health community, the Global Conference on Safe Abortion will be a seminal event and a call to action, moving the safe abortion agenda forward.*
There is a group of Christians attending this conference to stand up (hopefully in a peaceful manner) against this evil. They alone have no power to change anything, but with God’s help anything is possible. Please pray for these people that they will be guided by God’s will. Also please pray for those who are considering abortions.

Lord of all mercy, grant that the witness provided by faithful Christians will serve to open the eyes of the blind leaders of the blind; that evil will be exposed and rebuffed; that all hidden things will be brought to light; that even one mother will take pity on the precious child in her womb and repent of her selfish and evil desire. May the attention of the entire world, which thirsts for justice, be brought to bear on this gravest of all injustices, so that hearts may turn. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
 
How can Abortion be safe? It takes a human life (and sometimes more than one).
 
Abortion isn’t very safe for the most vulnerable and helpless among us. They lose their lives. God help us all that this horror is seen as acceptable by so many. Pray for an end to his evil practice.
