is christ of two divine natures; or two natures?
Sinless. Adam and Eve were perfect before the fall.what is a perfect human nature?
It is now, for we are inheritors of original sin and have sin deeply integrated in us by our own faults.I thought by definition that human nature is imperfect.
Pride. Adam and Eve’s pride got to them and they wanted to be worshiped and have the power like God.And if this is what Christians believe, then why did the Fall occur?
No, it is very sinful! Pride is the root of all sin. Wanting to be worshiped is pride, greed, idolatry to the people who worship you, and much more grave sins. That’s why Adam and Eve got kicked out of paradise.I guess then that pride and wanting to be worshiped is not regarded as sinful?
They were tempted by satan and fell prey to his lies. Both Angels and us humans have free will which makes us well, free. We have freedom to chose what to do an what not to do. Adam, Eve, and satan made the wrong choice. A terrible one that has hurt all humanity.Or did Adam and Eve become prideful and thus sinful, and, if so, how do this happen if they were perfect? Come to think of it, how did Lucifer become prideful if he was an angel?
No, they simply had a free will to do as they please. They were indeed perfect, but imperfection tempted them, something they were not used to, nor familiar with. satan tempted them and they had a choice, do the right thing, or wrong thing. They picked the most terrible thing to do and sinned greatly. So their human nature was NOT perfect if they were tempted by pride and succumbed.
Currently, all human nature is corrupted because of sin. We do have a free will though. What I understand from this is that human nature is perfect in the sense that it offers us the free will to do good or evil.
Correct.Angels also have this free will according to Christian belief, and that is why some of them (Lucifer especially) revolted against G-d.
Free will. I do not know if Adam and Eve sinned more or less than we do today. But all sin we commit is by free will and our own actions, by that sin we have in us.Further, since you state that sin after the Fall is now ingrained within us, do we have more of a tendency to choose evil as opposed to good compared to Adam and Eve?
Yes, Jesus was perfect like Adam, in fact many call Him the new adam. I do not believe He could fall into temptation though and sin because He is God almighty. I might be wrong though, so if anybody could tell me if I have erred, I would appreciate it.Final question: did Jesus have a perfect human nature in the same sense as Adam and Eve before the Fall? That is, could He be tempted and could He succumb to temptation?
