as for the others, certain aspects of gnosticism and new age is absolutely incompatible with the one true faith, no matter how they vary.

My point is that these aspects aren’t even the defining rule of “New Age” because there is no defining rule.

Then again, perhaps that’s how it really goes against Church teaching given that Abrahamic religions are all so steeped in absolutes. (Can’t say I care about that anymore either.)

Actually, quite the contrary. Maybe I should change that up a bit. That bit’s actually a reflection of what I used to be when I was more Catholic.

All I want to say is you can give some people certain stones to carry and others, different stones. No one knows who got which. Then, in a controlled study, scientists could determine any effect those carrying a certain stone might have. Even if they couldn’t explain it, they could document it, and other scientists would see if they could replicate the results.
