All I have to say is to see whats is coming look at the GLSEN’s reading material for kids. This article appeared on Gateway Pundit awhile ago. Scroll down to the book list and you will see it links you directly to GLSEN page. The GLSEN says the following about its book:

Some of those books have pedophilia in them…
You are correct. If I had children in school I would be afraid to have them attend any school with a GLSEN presence. Here is what Rod Dreher has said about the organization:

“Who can be against that? Decent people are appalled by instances of gay children subjected to physical abuse or verbal torment. If stopping that were what GLSEN - a mainstream activist organization with major corporate, philanthropic and teachers union sponsors - were really about, it would be difficult to object to its work. What GLSEN really does, though, is to mouth slogans about the (laudable) need to stop anti-gay bullying as a pretext for sexualizing schoolchildren.”

Yes, it’s all about sexualizing children.

A local church has elected to stop performing marriage ceremonies for straight couples until same-sex marriage is legalized.
In a statement posted on the front page of their website, officials at the Green Street United Methodist Church said that they ask other churches to join in the movement to “refuse to sign any State marriage licenses until this right is granted to same- sex couples.”

Will they take the same stand in support of equal ‘marriage’ rights for polygamists, polyandrists, and pederasts? Consistency demands it.
I wouldn’t include pederasts because kids cannot give consent. The other 2 are required for consistency then.

Well, organizations like NAMBLA think that they can, and they will be actively working for a lowering of the age of consent. And the constant sexualizing of children at earlier and earlier ages in our public schools is not a good sign.

Even this is debatable. The law already distinguishes, in practice at least, between two “kids” having sex or even an adult having sex with a teenager where there is no coercion versus forcible rape. While it is techically true that minors cannot give consent in practice they do and the law tends to reconize this on a case by case basis.

Pederasty is primarily such a situation in contrast to pedophilia.

And then, once pederasty has been normalized…

For all the people who cried “slippery slope fallacy” you can now sit down, be silent, and feel the foolishness of man!!!
Alongside those who said that the argument that that legalization of sodomy would lead to homosexual marriage was a slippery slope fallacy? My guess is that the discussion will turn, instead, towards the intolernace of those who oppose the marriage of a loving triplet.

Polygamy may very well be next. I think that sanctioned pederasty may follow.

I see many threads where gay marriage is argued, and its proponents invariably say something like “why are you picking on gays? Heterosexuals have already destroyed marriage.”

And they are right. It is true that same sex marriage must of necessity deprive a child of either a mom or a dad. But so does divorce. So does serial monogamy. Cohabitation deprives children of a real family. Fornication and adultery deprive sex of meaning. Children live now with the awareness that their family can be broken up at the whim of either parent. Contraception deprives children of brothers and sisters. Abortion kills off a fourth of their siblings.

So it’s not that same sex unions will destroy marriage. Same sex unions are thinkable only because marriage has already been destroyed.

Few even wish to commit to traditional marriage vows: for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death shall rip us apart.

Not at all. Now, we prefer, for better, for richer, and in good health and ‘as long as love shall last.’ Forget that sickness and poorer and till death stuff. That might cause us to bail.

Now, marriage is a natural institution, but the natural law argument no longer holds water, because people want what they want, natural or not. It’s about personal rights, not love. It’s about fulfillment, not sacrifice for another.

But because marriage IS a natural institution, it will eventually be restored. I just don’t think it will be able to restore itself until civilizations has gone through the next dark age which has been brought on by the dissolution of the family.

Sincerely, if gay marriage is approved I think that what the church needs to do is taking a stand on it and refuse to intervene in legal marriages. One of the reasons this movement has been so successful is that while Catholics after divorce, abortion etc was legalized pretty much the church didn’t take any stand against them, the anti-life movement does and they do things like this in protest which tends to works very well and convince people. I think that if gay marriage is legalized in the US and the church decides not be involved anymore in legal marriages…or even better if Catholics decide to start getting married only by the church and not legally, that would case some serious effect in society.

Polling data is cited to demonstrate overwhelming support for gay marriage, whether imposed judicially or legislatively in jurisdictions with a more liberal inclination. This, again, is similar to the drill on abortion when the predictable Pew poll is cited showing 63 percent of Americans want to leave Roe v. Wade untouched. Yet, the abortion issue remains salient, a fundamental divide in the body politic persisting for over 40 years.
