Why did same-sex “marriage” (SSM) activists focus only on gay marriage and not bring along polygamy for the ride?
Because they knew they already had a fair amount of support, esp. from the younger generation. Haven’t you noticed the increase in gay roles in most tv shows over the last couple years. Well, maybe you don’t watch tv. On “Mom”, there is a character who is dealing with cancer and alcoholism. We stopped watching the show after one episode in which she was found (by her friends) to watch gay porn as her special way of relaxing (she hides her cats, so they won’t see…). UGH. The whole show is about a dysfunctional family of mostly all females, trying to get their act together against great odds. Why did same-sex “marriage” (SSM) activists focus only on gay marriage and not bring along polygamy for the ride?
This book looks interesting. Katherine Jean Lopez (of National Review) gave it a good review. The Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom by Ryan Anderson. He was interviewed on The World Over this week. The only question worth asking about gay marriage is whether anyone on the left would care about this crusade if it didn’t come with the privilege of bulldozing another civilizational institution
That was an interesting link on the destruction of marriage. The author makes a number of on-target points about the current state of family destruction, including this one:Because they knew they already had a fair amount of support, esp. from the younger generation. I have read quotes from more than 1 gay activist that the end game is the abolition of marriage. This article explains:
The Deconstruction of Marriage by Daniel Greenfield (conservative journalist & blogger)

The Catholic Church must make sure our young members know the definition of marriage and why it is a sacrament. In too many places, there is too much fear of offending those who have gay family members, or members with same-sex attraction. There are ways of presenting these truths in a gentle and non-offensive way.
May God help us; Our Lady of America, pray for us.
