the demonization and scapegoating are anger unbound — nihilism. Pope Benedict, by every objective account, has been the man cleaning up the church. He had sped up a process that used to drag on until victims went away or died. He has apologized to and sought reconciliation from families of victims. He has prayed with them. He’s the good guy here.

Did he always understand the problem? Did he always act decisively 40 years ago? Probably not. No one did. But Benedict learned, he changed, he tried to make amends for those who abused. He sought justice and mercy, neither of which the Roman Curia particularly wanted. But it does not matter to the people who want the pope’s head.

Very human report on those news. If we were that perfect, would we be humans? We need to get united in our faith, in our love towards God. Judge? can we judge? aren’t we so imperfect and sinful? we sin again and again. It is hard to be human, but, it is not hard to follow God, to trust God with all our heart and mind. Certainly, the time has come to clean our churches, it is a time for renewal and to really commit to our faith with a stronger feeling. God does not make mistakes. We humans make mistakes constantly, but we should strive each day to be better and to be fair, to be more like Jesus, more kind and compassionate towards each human being. Didn’t that Jesus preached? To love one another. This world is a constant cry of so much imperfections and engulfed by so many selfish wishes, we need to start looking towards doing good works and to love one another, to find peace in our daily life in order to bring a more joyful and peaceful future for our children and for the whole human race. It is by our mistakes that we mature and make better choices, it is part of the constant growth of the human civilization.
