This is true. We can hold out C1 existence as a “possibility” or something that hasn’t been clearly ruled out but also something not adequately demonstrated. And because I am not convinced C1 existence makes sense, I will not be a theist. That is a reasonable agnostic position to take if that is what you believe. IOW, be without belief pending adequate proof, but keep an open mind about it. But keep in mind that proof, if we keep our thinking straight, will not be found in consulting facts. Rather it will be logical analysis. Once we embark on our C1-3 journey, empirical atheism or empirical theism no longer make sense.We don’t have to explicitly deny the possibility of the existence of a necessary being. We can just say that we have no evidence for such a being.
