The Challoner D-R, particularly in the NT, flows much more cleanly than the KJV, which strikes me as rather stilted and archaic. A quick example is 2 Corinthians 2:10.
 
I think Challoner’s revision of Douay is the closest thing there could ever be to such a thing as a Catholic KJV. He did, after all, pilfer from the Authorized Version and wrote in a manner that Englishmen, steeped in the language of the KJV, would accept as “Biblical English.”

The names, numbers, and chapters of the Douay–Rheims Bible and the Challoner revision
follow that of the LATIN VULGATE -
and therefore differ from those of the King James Version and its modern successors
