The Pope doesn’t wear Prada. This is good news for those of us intent on not comparing the Holy Father to the devil, and for the people who will benefit from the money he saved in buying a cheaper pair.
The only casualties are the fine people at Prada, who no longer get to ride on this mistaken endorsement 😉

Yes, I read about that.

The eloquence of the following statement written in Vatican Daily did make me smile 👍
“anyone insisting he is a fashion clotheshorse is indulging in a frivolousness which is extremely characteristic of an epoch which renders banal everything it doesn’t understand”.

I saw this headline earlier today. I can’t believe that this was picked up as a news story all over the world.

Years ago, I remember seeing the Pope in the news when he was trying to bring peace to a war torn area and encourage nations with opposite political views to find common spiritual ground.

Makes you think, doesn’t it?

I remember when the articles came out attacking the Pope for his alleged fashion choices. Many were the self-righteous liberals who I saw condemning him over the matter.

To be honest, I would not care if they were Prada. Even if they were, his personal life would probably still be more simple than the average American.

It does look like the critics have egg on their face now though 🙂
