Well if he is heard by many more ,that is a good thing .

He is I think trying to end this in the Church, and is being succesful too. MATT 23 8 -16

???

This article is full of praise for the pope.

Just because a publication is not religion-based, doesn’t meant they are “hostile” toward Christianity.
I don’t think this article is claiming what you feel it does at all.
It is saying he excels at talking with people and reaching them–it is raving and laudatory.

Even when an article is full of praise for him, you are seeing it as “hostile”?

.
The article is not so much “praising” the Pope, but “using” the Pope to promote certain political agendas. In doing so, it actually reports incorrectly that the Pope “told Catholics not to breed like rabbits” or that he is “sidestepping the debate on abortion, gay marriage and sex.” The article creates a caricature out of him by quote-mining him and misrepresenting him and is typically insulting to Pope Benedict XVI as are so many other secularists who praise the effigy of Pope Francis that exists in media circles. The article doesn’t have the courage to inform readers, nor to address facts such as Pope Francis saying marriage is between a man and a woman or any of his many speeches against abortion. They are trying to say, “See! See! Those issues aren’t important! Even your Pope ignores them!” which is a lie.

Diplomatic skills aren’t a bad thing for anyone to have, if that’s what they’re talking about.

But what does Bloomberg know, they’re supposed to be a business media. They should be more concerned about the moral hazards concerning Fed actions.

While all this may sound like he’s ready to overturn dogma, it turns out that Pope Francis is just as interested in geopolitics.
I’m awfully confused as to why meeting with a woman who thinks she’s a man, or washing the feet of a Muslim woman would ever lead someone to believe that dogma’s going to change. It’s like people think the Catholic Church hates LGTB and Muslims… (and sadly, this apparently is the case for most people) 🤷

Most secular appraisals of anything religious can easily be ignored.

Exactly.
