Calling for the murder of the Pope in public, that should be a criminal offense. We cannot let these Muslim extremists have ā€œfree speechā€ if they incite murder and violence.
Yes I am also agreed with you. I see lot of disgrace the church in my area. I think we Catholic Church members are sleeping at the present time. We have to think on it, we are going so silly. This is the time we awake to our silliness and sleepiness, if we cant we will lose lot of things in the future. I think we should arrange one conference and call Catholic people to different countries to exchange our thoughts, Christian life, and our trails and think how we can protect our Church. I hope Church Head leaders anticipate on my apologized.

And the media defends these monsters.

Pray for our persecutors.
I am not agreed with you. They are not say any thing to us they abuse to Pope. You know when people doing bad thing in the Temple, Jesus punished them and Pope is also Temple of the Catholic Church.

What?! :bigyikes: The guy who said the pope must die is obviously mixed up. What makes you the judge of him?

I dont want to give you any argu. I just want to say it that if some one abuses to ourDad or Father or say that ā€œyour father must die and go to hellā€ We we listen calm and cool?
I think these words really change our mind suddenly and our behaviar with that person then diffrent. We feel bashfulness at the moment.
So my dear brother now look at Pope. He is our Holy Father. Do you believe? If some one says against him. If we are feeling shame so we cant innerly accept him our Holy Father. I know this thing. I dont want to say any thing else.

The good Book says that you won’t judge other people. If you don’t think he can’t be forgiven then don’t pray the Our Father anymore.

Do not let these unkindnesses shake our faith. We have a duty to love even those who hurt us. I think it is an attempt to make us unlike Jesus, and with the post that we are posting, they are winning. We should not post nasty things about other people no matter how nasty they appear to be, for Christ has died for those people. We should not take justice into our own hands, even if it is not in the form of actual violence.

I still believe that the Pope was NOT wrong in his comments, because he was simply questioning the Islamic faith. However, we need to really do our part. The Pope has done his part by speaking the truth. We need to show the world what true Christianity is like, by proving the Pope more true about the faith he defended, Christianity, but also for the sake of defending God.
Each of our uncharitable posts, regardless of the unkindness of the radicals, will be counted against us if we do not repent. For we should not think as as mere creatures, like a mudslinging compition, but rather as children of God, knowing we were raised by Christ.

So now I tell you do not judge the religion of Islam at all. Rather let God judge it, just as JPII told us(well at least in a similat fashion). We should not judge people as we have in past post. I mean, it is okay to that the radical actions of some of these people are wrong, but we are even going so far as to name call. Watch out, Satan tempt anyone and anything!

So let me recite this which I have recited before, because it tells how we are supposed to be, regardless of what happens:

1 Cor. 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

SO my question is, are we being patient with this trial in which the radicals mock us?
Are we being kind to the radicals and those who agree with them, even though, they hate us and our religion?
Are we getting irritated and resentful of what they are doing, knowing that God has told us not to?
Are we bearing this charitably, while hoping in Jesus?

Well while reading this, remember, that there if we do NOT follow this, we have no charity, and no charity, no Beatific Vision. Being in a Christian Faith is not enough, we have to be Christian and be Christian in our heart.
Wow, well said.

I got a little upset and mad when I read the article, but your post brought me right back.

Thanks!

Why was this thread brought back after more than a year of inactivity? At first, I thought this was something new.

A notorious Muslim extremist told a demonstration in London yesterday that the Pope should face execution.
Anjem Choudary said those who insulted Islam would be ā€œsubject to capital punishmentā€.

His remarks came during a protest outside Westminster Cathedral on a day that worldwide anger among Muslim hardliners towards Pope Benedict XVI appeared to deepen.
The pontiff yesterday apologised for causing offence during a lecture last week. Quoting a medieval emperor, his words were taken to mean that he called the prophet Mohammed ā€œevil and inhumanā€.

Well it is true that Muhammad was evil and inhuman, for them to act this way just shows what type of man Muhammad was, for all muslims try to live like he did.

I guess that is why they say the ā€œTRUTH HURTSā€.

We as Catholics need to really open ours eyes and see that Islam truly is a threat, and that is why the crusades started in the first place. I came across some documentation from Pope Urban II when he called for the First Crusade at Clermont in 1095, described the outrages suffered by fellow Christians at the hands of the militant Mohammedans:

"The [the Mohammedan Turks] have invaded the lands of those Christians and have depopulated them by the sword, pillage, and fire; they have led away a part of the captives into their own country, and a part they have destroyed by cruel tortures… They circumcise the Christians, and the blood of the circumcision they either spread upon the altars or pour into the vases of the baptismal font.

When they wish to torture people by a base death, they perforate their navels, and dragging forth the extremity of the intestines, bind it to a stake; then with flogging they lead the victim around until the viscera having gushed forth, the victim falls prostrate upon the ground. Others they bind to a post and pierce with arrows. Others they compel to extend their necks and then, attacking them with naked swords, attempt to cut through the neck with a single blow. What shall I say of the abominable rape of the women? To speak of it is worse than to be silent… On whom therefore is the labor of avenging these wrongs and of recovering the this territory incumbent, if not upon you?"
Pope Urban II

ā€œFor mediaeval man, the Crusade was an act of piety and love of God and neighbor. But it was also a means of defending their world, their culture, their religion, and their way of life. Then, as today, men fight for what is most dear to them. Then, as today, it is the right thing to do.ā€
historian: Marian Horvath

I for one am not surprised one bit about this action, and really the question comes down to, are any of you?

That’s all I have to say about that.
