Not sure what the shrug signifies.

It’s very clear from this article that the zygote stage is the first stage of human development which follows a continuum all the way from there to old age and finally death.

All abortions are performed long after the zygote stage has begun.

From the Westchester Institute article referenced above:

From the moment of sperm-egg fusion, a human zygote acts as a complete whole,
with all the parts of the zygote interacting in an orchestrated fashion to generate the
structures and relationships required for the zygote to continue developing towards
its mature state. Everything the sperm and egg do prior to their fusion is uniquely
ordered towards promoting the binding of these two cells. Everything the zygote does
from the point of sperm-egg fusion onward is uniquely ordered to prevent further
binding of sperm and to promote the preservation and development of the zygote
itself. The zygote acts immediately and decisively to initiate a program of development
that will, if uninterrupted by accident, disease, or external intervention, proceed seamlessly
through formation of the definitive body, birth, childhood, adolescence, maturity,
and aging, ending with death. This coordinated behavior is the very hallmark of
an organism.

This passage perhaps best sums up the point of it. These facts are not in dispute within the medical community.
:clapping: This is the best explanation of what the fusion of the sperm and the ovum accomplishes that I have seen. Thank you!

Ave Maria! Ora pro nobis.

“We can see the child moving rather serenely in the uterus. The child senses aggression in its sanctuary. We see the child’s mouth wide open in a silent scream.”

Dr. Bernard Nathanson, former abortionist, Catholic convert.

**please pray with all your heart and mind that congress and president obama and the insurance companies do not join with the supreme court in waging war on our unborn children. **

*I thought commonsense was all that was needed, not prayer? *

You thought wrong. The devil has stolen our common sense. We need to pray that we will get it back. We need to pray that we will cease to be an evil people that condones tearing children apart in the womb.

We need to pray that the one party of Congress that endorses the slaughter of children will someday come to its senses and cry out:

Enough!

I will never understand the confusion people have on the pro-life issue. I was priviledged to see all of the ultra-sounds of my grandbabies…I have 17 of them. We have identical twins that will be born sometime in June of this year…praise God and His Holy Name.

How can anyone doubt there is life? My goodness, maybe I should send them a copy of one of the ultra-sounds of my little guy, Zachary, sucking his thumb in utero. 😃

Ah, so you admit your commonsense mantra is doomed to failure then?

The need for common sense will never go away since it is built into our human nature. This is surely the time for its great comeback. 👍

You know that other great common sense mantra: *“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” *I don’t know any woman who would have liked her mother to have slaughtered her in the womb. So why do it to her own child? And what abortionist would have liked his mother to have aborted him? And what politician would like to have been slaughtered in his mother’s womb?

Common sense: We do not kill our children.

Please pray to God with all your heart and mind that Congress and President Obama and the insurance companies do not join with the Supreme Court in waging war on our unborn children.

It doesn’t matter how large you make the letters, prayer cannot make people change their minds as such. What you need is persuasion.

Here is a good prayer for all our Christian members of Congress:

“Teach me, O Lord, the way of Thy statutes, And I shall observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may observe Thy law, And keep it with all my heart.” (Psalm 119:33-34).

Should we get bigger computer screens so that the effect of your posts is increased?

“That which I tell you in the dark, speak ye in the light: and that which you hear in the ear, preach ye upon the housetops.” – St. Matthew 10:27

Our governors have closed their eyes and muffled their ears. To be heard, we need now to shout from the rooftops. Are you not praying for the unborn?

As our liberal friends like to say:

“If you don’t like what you see, you can always change the channel.” :D;)

The number 7 on the size chart is there for a reason. What do you think that reason is?
