The human aspect is that people don’t have the attention span for more than one at a time. The Mass is human, as well as divine.If they are paying, the canon law mentioned above does apply. I am curious as to how this works though, since the entire Mass is always said.
I guess what I do not understand is why one would want a Mass for a loved one said with that as the only intention, as opposed to one of two or three intentions. The available grace is the same.
