It is a beautiful song, however I would love to hear a Catholic record the song with the proper theological perspective of Mary being saved from the moment of her conception. That would make the song even more beautiful.

It is great to hear a non-catholic at least acknowledge Mary in such a beautiful way. They have opened a door in their heart for her even if they do not know it. It makes my heart happy.

Eventually, their going to have to wake up and realize exactly “where” it is that their getting all of their Christianity from.

Mary is indeed the sea of Grace that leads us to the Her Son, our Salvation.

Many people I have known have come to the Catholic Faith by Mary’s motherly care.

I for one am glad that in whatever manner they approach Mary in the beginning, Our Mother, will pervade their hearts & minds, so take HER and she will love you.

Didn’t Jesus also ask us to ask through Mary? I seem to recall that but don’t know where that statement is in the Bible.

Who told you that you had to pray to Mary for forgiveness?

Who told you that Mary had any power as Jesus does?

As for Jesus having the power to forgive sins, don’t forget, He also gave that power to The Apostles when He told them to baptize people and that whoever’s sins they forgive will be forgiven.

And if nobody told you that, (that Mary can’t forgive sins) what is the purpose of your bringing it up?

Think, who was the most devoted person to The Lord than His own mother?

Think about it, she was the first Believer, the first Christian, the first to have faith in Him, the first to “know” Christ, the first to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

All those things are traits that Protestants proudly profess. In that respect, to Protestants, Mary could be the greatest example of human Christianity without their having to in anyway take away from Jesus.

True Christian love is inclusive, not exclusive.

(Mary is the) “highest woman and the noblest gem in Christianity after Christ . . . She is nobility, wisdom, and holiness personified. We can never honor her enough. Still honor and praise must be given to her in such a way as to injure neither Christ nor the Scriptures.”

This is a quote of Luther’s in 1531! This is the Mary that at least we Lutherans should know. Full of grace, ever-virgin, Mother of God.

I have not watched that video. I am a Muslim and we Muslims devote our love for Mary, the mother. There is a lot about her, (even her birth is described) in the Quran, which is not done in the bible.

She was pure and sinless from the very beginning. Even the Devil never came near her and never tempted her (Last verse of Chapter 66 of Quran). There is a complete chapter devoted to Mary, in her name, i.e. chapter 19 in the Quran. That describes the immaculate birth of Jesus too. Thanks for praising the honorable lady.

Thank you for your beautiful words. They are truly touching. I wish the brethren within my own house saw her as Catholics and Muslims have generally seen here since the beginning of both of our respective faiths.

Of course, we don’t have to agree on 100% of everything regarding our religions, but I’m sure that Mary would never be used as an instrument of division between us.

I believe that that is Shaytan’s work.

And unfortunately, he was successful in luring away some of my brethren into the false beliefs that Mary was “sinful”.

It isn’t in the Bible. If it was, all the Protestants would be asking through Mary.

There are many things in The Holy Bible that Protestants don’t do. For example, when Jesus healed a man, Jesus told him to tell no man but to go see a Priest and to do what the Priest tells him to do. When a Protestant is healed, they don’t go to see a Priest to make the offering that is required of them by Jesus.

But what I think Mickey was referring to was when Mary interceded on behalf of the wedding party when notifiying Jesus that there was no wine and Jesus made more wine (because even though Jesus is God, He cannot contradict Himself…He must as man obey the 4th Commandment and obey His own mother).

Mary approached Jesus with a problem that the participants at the wedding feast had, Jesus rectified it.

The wedding feast can also be seen as a precursor to the wedding feast in Revelations in that those who approach Mary, the mother of God made man (Jesus) may have their requests heard from the womb that bore Him.

If your mother asked you to do something for your sibling (assuming that you have brother and/or sister), would you deny your mother if the request was worthy?

Do you think that your mother would ever ask you to do something that was wrong?

Count me among those whom Mary drew into “her Son’s house.” She started out as my biggest stumbling-block to accepting the Church as the one founded by Christ. And she ended up being the one who led me into that Church–by showing me her love, purity, holiness, and good-humor. If I were to elaborate further I’d have to write a book.
