The reason they haven't succeeded is because of people like you

I am reading the title of this thread, and unfortunately, I think their level of success has been huge! Everywhere I look I see pink ribbons - they are absolutely in every public place I go. We went into an “On the Border” Restuarant this past Saturday nite and there were pink streamers hanging from the ceiling and pink ribbons on the walls. Before we even ordered our drinks, we were solicited for a donation to the Susan B. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness and research. (Brinker Internat’l is the owner of this restaurant chain, among others, and Nancy Brinker is on the board of the Texas Planned Parenthood.) I’m sure all faithful pro-life Catholics are aware of the other ties this “charity” has to Planned Parenthood but what about others who think they are donating to a good cause? Over $700,000 was donated to PP in one year, so do, indeed, keep up the good work by stuffing those envelopes, but also know that the lack of awareness on the part of well-meaning people and the deceptive methods used by the Culture of Death is raking in millions for their cause!

Oh, and by the way, I understand (although I have not fully researched this) that Planned Parenthood offices may soon be in your child’s school if the Healthcare Bill is passed.

I am so glad I found out about the Susan B. Komen connection - there is another thread on CAF about that - since my aunt and one of my cousins were both diagnosed with breast cancer this year, so it’s struck close to home for me now. I’m glad I found out before I made the mistake of donating any money to them. 😦

I just recently found out about it too. My local grocery store does a special every october where any money you spend there, they donate a portion to Susan B. Komen. I avoid shopping there in october.

It’s so hard not to be utterly frustrated by all of this. Especially if they are putting PLANNED PARENTHOOD centers in SCHOOLS!!! Dear God, I don’t know if they actually will, but the way they force birth control and abortion on kids these days, it wouldn’t shock me. They way they go after the young ones makes me think it somehow makes them feel better about it if they can get a kid to do it. sigh😦

What if people who went into that restaurant said they couldn’t eat there because
they are pro-life? Do you think it might change the restaurant’s mind if people left
because of this?

Did you tell them why?

not to derail, but I just read that several saints were actually afflicted with demonic possession. You can be cursed by someone else, even in a state of grace.
Who says? I don’t want to read about it for myself because I stay away from the devil.
(thanks)

Anything done in the name of a god is fine.
See, that’s just what I’m Not trying to say. If that’s what I end up saying, then I
might just as well have been quiet or done nothing. I wonder if their feeling of
being attacked just makes them feel more than ever that what they’re doing is
right.

Is there a way we can view this picture online? That would make an awesome resource!!
Well, I can’t remember who sent it to me. Was it Human Life Alliance? Priests for
life? It could have even been American Life League. I don’t think it was National
Right to Life because it was shiny paper. Maybe I can find it on google like Joe5859.

Believe it or not, Margaret Sanger was against abortion. You read right. Against it. She wanted to purify the world through contraception. Abortion is the natural progression from that platform. Now she may have just been saying that because such a thing would have been unacceptable. But, that was her official position. She also did not believe in forcing the matter. Just encouraging it.
Very interesting…And did she write that 1964 PP ad?

She died in 1966, so I doubt it. By then I’m sure the movement had progressed. Like I said, her official position was against abortion, but, who knows what she really believed.

…Maybe it would be
better to pray in front of a pregnancy help center until they can afford a 4-D
ultrasound machine. Those machines have been proven to save lives…

Anyway, thanks for listening…
I pray *inside * my local pregnancy help center because that is where I volunteer.

I pray outside abortion mills because it is beneficial in more ways than one:

I pray for the precious little ones murdered inside, (the ones who weren’t given a choice, because if they were they would have chosen to live)

I pray for the pregnant woman driving in, that they may embrace the gift God has given them.

I witness to pedestrians that surprisingly have no clue that pre-born babies are killed in this place (common response: ‘you mean they do abortions in there?’)

I hand out literature to those disillusioned with that planned parenthood is about and what they really do to pregnant woman, men, and the community at large.
  • If praying outside abortion mills had no affect, than pp would not be trying to create bubble zones around the country like they already have successfully done in California and Chicago.

You are the one who is making all the difference so far.
I saw it on a documentary being done on sidewalk counselors.
The interviewer asked the sidewalk counselor “What is the most important part of
your work”. She pointed at a group of people praying the rosary and said “They
are. because without prayer, nothing would happen.”

The farthest thing from my heart is to say it has no effect.
I meant to only point out that the letter said it makes the people going inside
feel personally attacked.
