Yeah, sorry, it was some problem with the quote function.
Male priests, male bishops, male pope. By your logic women shouldn’t be blamed if they leave. It’s not unrealistic for a boy to look at a female dominated activity and think it’s just for girls whether we’re talking about a hobby or religion.
I must say, and I don’t mean this sarcastically, that is certainly one way to make going to Mass a more exciting mission than most people see it as.I start off thinking of being shot going out of into Church, asked to renounce my faith to save a family members life etc.
I’ve been to five Masses this week at four different churches and I’ve yet to see this “female dominated activity” everybody claims is going on.It’s not unrealistic for a boy to look at a female dominated activity and think it’s just for girls whether we’re talking about a hobby or religion.
There is a time and a place for single sex groupings. It doesn’t necessarily mean one is prejudiced against a sex to think so. It’s not unrealistic for a boy to look at a female dominated activity and think it’s just for girls whether we’re talking about a hobby or religion.
Would you say the same for girls and women groups?Well I think there could be a need for some boy or men only groups at church if there is evidence that this is an issue
is it possible to unsubscribe from a thread?Good point. Although the Trump thead has gone over 1,000 posts and no one has convinced anyone of anything! But your are right, this is getting tiresome. I’m out of this one.
Oh perfect, thanks!See “Tracking” on the bottom? Click on it & enjoy!
Every so often you do get a celebrity posting about their faith, Mark Wahlberg is one that sticks in my mind for talking about it, but others do sports stars mainly. However celebrities seem to just join the newest fad so not having celebrity endorsement really shouldn’t make any differenceThere’s no celebrity endorsement.
My priest stands away from the microphone and mumbles. In four years, I have yet to understand one of his homilies. Now the deacon speaks clearly. Can I borrow your phrase “milquetoast homilies”? Outstanding!!!
