I wonder why Catholic Answers changed the name of this thread from “The Queering of the Rosary” to “The Relational Mysteries”? Is Catholic Answers that afraid of calling a spade a spade? It would seem so.

After all, it’s the sodomite community that has tagged this abomination “The Queering of”, not me. If anyone wants to be upset over the word “queer” being used, get upset at the homosexuals.

Catholic Answers, I’m very disappointed that you’ve shown yourselves to be so PC. Lets just tell the truth, and let the readership make up their minds on their own.

This is a personal theory, but being a devotion there is no defined Dogma as to the mysteries, I know the Church has shown us the norm for praying the Rosary on different days of the week. We cannot say that these examples from the Inspired Word of God are wrong to be meditated onwe should be meditating on the Bible frequently. If these human beings choose to pervert something that seems to be a Rosary. So much the worse for them when by God’s infinite mercy they get to enter Purgatory and their works are burned up they will see the error of their ways and perhaps will be able to intercede for other misguided souls.

The point to this tirade is that you cannot “Queer” the Rosary anymore than you can have a “Gay” Marriage. I can appreciate your ire I normally do not put my opinion out there because I do not have Magisterial teaching to back me up. Please consider what I meant to say if what I typed didn’t make sense.

I understand what you’re saying FS. My point is, why did Catholic Answers change the title of the thread? The news story used that particular title, and I’m of the beliefe that CA should have stuck with it. If we get outraged over this offensive term being used to degrade the Rosary… then so be it. Let us see the ugly, pro-homosexual agenda for what it really is.

I don’t need Catholic Answers to sugar-coat a thing for me. I’m a bog boy. I can take it. As a matter of fact, Catholics NEED to see nonsense like this news story, so we can see just how badly hijacked our Church has become.

This is a commentary from the Catholic Online website from an Army Wife. She is encouraging all faithful Catholics to come together with a great weapon to defeat this blasphemy, particular on this coming Wed.Oct.7th, the Feast of the Holy Rosary. The following is part of what she says:

Start by fighting fire with prayer. I propose a nationwide “Rosary Rally” of sorts to pray for the revival of the Catholic Church in America. Gather together wherever you can to ask the Holy Spirit to rekindle the fire of faith in our nation. Pray for courage to defend the truth. Beg the Lord’s mercy for our apathy and complacency. Ask Our Lady to pray for us and to teach us how to love her Son.

When? This Wednesday, October 7: the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Let’s also offer a prayer of reparation for the wounds to her Immaculate Heart caused by so many blasphemies. It is time to “Stand Up” (or kneel down) and Pray!

How beautiful it would be to offer her a million spiritual flowers to show our love ~ Jesus would be so pleased, don’t you think?

Whatever you do, don’t be silent. Don’t be indifferent. This era in history is a pivotal one, and a line is being clearly drawn. Choose this day where you will stand.

*As for me, I am going to attend mass and also say the rosary. Two great weapons in the battle against evil. Join me!

Let’s not focus on those distorting our Faith and the Rosary, but let’s focus on Our Lord and Our Lady. Giving in to anger and fear is what the devil wants. Let’s not be indifferent, but if events such as these move us to pray more, then they will backfire on the devil: he doesn’t want us to pray! Let’s do more reparation, pray the Rosary (it can never be taken from us), and reach out to those who feel alienated by the Bible and by Church teaching.
Our Lady wants to bring them back to a chaste love for Christ, and our efforts to do so also please her. We can live “charity in the truth,” as Pope Benedict XVI tells us.

It appalls me to see such beatiful parts of the Bible twisted to promote a perverse plan. Ruth’s pledge to Naomi has always been one of my most beloved passages! We should all have such love and devotion towards our Parents and In-Laws. Ruth was not professing any sort of perverted love and desire for Naomi in any way, shape, or form. In fact the opposite! She married Boaz of her own volition and thus carried on the liniage of Jesus.

And I fail to see how Esther pleading for her people supports any sort of homosexual advances.

With all these statues of Mary loosing just their left hands, it could be a sign that Mary is no longer restraining the hand of the King from executing judgment upon us.

This is an irresponsible superstition, in my opinion.

Many of you are extrapolating very broad, grandiose spiritual “signals” and “signs” out of a rather ordinary, if perhaps saddening, event. Inter-Church Homosexual dissent is nothing new - see Dignity USA, for the most prominent instance - and one graduate student is not going to move mountains. I’m sure his archdiocese will take action with him soon.

I do definitely take issue with adding new mysteries to the Rosary with the purpose of inciting controversy and division, however. I would hope that, with the “Subversive Mysteries,” too, which I remember being discussed in another thread on these Forums, the Holy See would come out soon with more measured and definitive guidelines to the addition of Mysteries to the Rosary a la John Paul the Great. It seems a total skewing of John Paul the Great’s assertion that other Mysteries could be added to add glory to the Rosary to now use it for such derisive ends.

Again, I must urge level-headedness here. This is not a “Catholic University” - it is UC Berkeley, perhaps one of the most liberal campuses in the country. Secondly, the “seminarians and faculty,” according to the article, only include one professed Catholic, a graduate student, whereas the others are a Lutheran, a Unitarian, and a man who founded some sort of Homosexual-friendly church of his own design, a Google search soon reveals.
