Would you say this is another time to the end of the world?

I’ve been seeing a rise of Catholics being hated for their beliefs and who we are, People seem to be becoming more violent to us.

There was this church in California and somebody beheaded the head of a statue of Mary, God have mercy on their soul and may they be brought to salvation…

No

IDK, we seem to be doing pretty well compared to when my grandfather was in the KKK trying to run all the Catholics out of his town in the early 20th century.

Yes, these people need prayers. However, Catholic statues have been beheaded, smashed, desecrated and everything else for decades. Sometimes it is kids or mentally ill people who don’t fully realize what they’re doing. Most churches have locks and security and many have statues placed out of reach, to minimize or prevent this sort of thing.

Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Luke 6:20-26 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! 23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.
And, conversely:
“But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.
Times are far, far better than they have been under official persecution. Diocletian comes to mind. Anyone being fed to animals?

What we have is “media terror”, “information overload” - what you want to call it. We are saturated with information that prior generations were not burdened with. We now have the ability to see, in real time, each and every disaster on the face of this earth. Is this what the Lord intended?

No! Rather…

Turm off the media. Go into your room and pray. Visit our Lord in person in the Most Blessed Sacrament and experience the peace which surpasses…
surpass |səˈpɑːs|
verb [ with obj. ]
exceed; be greater than: pre-war levels of production were surpassed in 1929.
• be better than: he continued to surpass me at all games.
• (surpass oneself) do or be better than ever before: the organist was surpassing himself.
…all understanding.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Neither troubled, nor afraid is the Lord’s intended state for us. We err when we engage this world in a manner that leads us to depart from His desire for us.

Turn the media off. It is corrosive to faith.
