Not that that the article says that.
The title reads, " The Rise of the Catholic Right, How right-wing billionaires are attempting a hostile takeover of the U.S. Catholic Church." and then discusses the Knights. Maybe I’m missing something, but it seems that the author believes that the Knights, along with other organizations, want to execute a hostile takeover of the Catholic Church.

Thanks for posting the story, I will keep a watchful eye on the K of C at the next pancake breakfast.

I am really not familiar with any of these groups, but the associate pastor at my Church is totally opposed to the Napa Institute. He thinks that all they care about is money, privilege and power.

Be careful of George Soros. He has lots of Left-leaning Catholic journalists on his payroll

Athrunzala, have you seen the documentary A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing ?
I have always avoided getting information from movies. I have yet to see a balance documentary movie made. They all seem to be more akin to propaganda films.

EWTN has that program they show periodically on Saul Alinsky, it was on today in fact. If one watches the network, they could keep an eye out for it.

Not yet, but I have heard and read that Bella Dodd indeed inserted young homosexuals into the priesthood who are now in positions of power

Saul Alinsky is a leftist. He has a book “Rules for Radicals” which he publicly dedicated to Lucifer

Ben Carson actually spoke about Alinsky during his speech at the RNC in 2016 and how one of Hilary’s mentors and heroes was/is Alinsky. Alinsky also had a huge influence on Obama as a community organizer in Chicago and on his presidential campaigns.

Ironically, Gingrich also used some of Alinsky’s tactics (i.e. leveraging resentment, going against the establishment, etc.) and was well studied in him too.

I think the whole article was just a whinge from the left that they see the writing on the wall and it spells out their lessening influence and control over church structures, thank God.

The clue is in the concluding last paragraph 🙂
And the money, he said, resides mostly on the right of the ecclesial and political spectrums. He sees nothing of similar ideological heft or funding on the left. “Maybe,” he said, “it’s because progressives have just given up on the church and aren’t willing to contribute a dime to anything that might go toward it.”
The Left at the end of the day is destructive of the church and convinces people away from it. Their success inevitably leads to its own downfall as its own legs are cut away from underneath itself.

The right has simply learned to inoculate what is left of their own children from such anti Christian philosophy. The anti church Left is toppling.

Let it fall to shouts of cheers from faithful Catholics.

Heck, I read Alinsky back in college, 50+ years ago. One needed to know one’s enemy, and the New Left (ah, memories) studied him for tactics.

I would not, in any way, put the KofC in the same boat as Legatus, Lepanto Institute, Institute for Property Tradition and whatever it is called, breitbart, Lifesite, ChurchMillitant.

The Knights are a great and faithful Catholic group with members from all political persuasions.

Very true. I’ve been a member of the K of C for years and don’t know the political persuasions of many fellow K of C members. It’s not something we discuss while volunteering our time.

The article accused the Knights of Columbus, as well as these other organizations, of attempting a “hostile takeover” of the Church. I am most familiar with the Knights, but none of these organizations, including the web sites you list, are trying to overthrow the Church leadership.
