Wondering what you people think!
I homeschool and work part time. My hubby and I work opposite shifts. My hubby does half the homeschooling and I do the other half.Canāt answer this question with the options listed.
If women have kids in the home they should only work if their kids are in school and be home when they come home.
BUT - I am for homeschooling. You could call me anti-public school.
Amen !I think some women should be nuns. The poll does not suggest this to me as an intended option. We need more options on the poll.
And who says mothers arenāt contributing to society by their very motherhood?
Exactly. I think it is this very attitude that makes many mothers think they are not āmaking anythingā of themselves unless they have a career outside the home. And who says mothers arenāt contributing to society by their very motherhood?
I did not imply that mothers are not contributing to society by being mothers. They are, just as fathers contribute to society by being fathers. However, why should a personās contribution end with parenthood? If everyone was just a parent, there would be no life saving medicine, no homes that protect us from the elements, no transportation, no literature, no schools, no governmentā¦And who says mothers arenāt contributing to society by their very motherhood?
I know that full time stay-at-home mothers work, possibly doing more work than a person working at an outside-the-home full time job.Guess what? By parents raising their children to be productive members of society is building a society.
By the way women who are full time mothers DO work. You really should have worded that poll a little differently, itās an insult to full time at home mothers who bust their butts and get little recognition for it.
I think if God has blessed a woman with children, that this is her primary vocation, to āevangelizeā and love our children. Because our children are the worldās future adults, who will one day have families, and we want to pass on the faith to them, so they can live for Jesus too, and in turn pass it along to the next generation, etc. Anything else should be secondary, BUT, I do think as Catholics, we all do have Christian responsibility to see the big picture, to reach out to our neighbors, people in need, and the World around us, in which we live.Wondering what you people think!
