Umm you are distorting what I am saying.
Now I will leave this to the reader to judge whether looking for the most Christlike flavour of Christianity in his community means the same as rejecting the Church the apostles believed in because you think you’re too good for them.The words were “most Christlike” not “perfectly Christlike”
But if I were reading this, I would not think that quote 2 logically follows from quote 1.
