Do people have a choice to use modern language with the Our Father?
At Mass there aren’t multiple ways of saying it because because it’s in the missal. At home, I suppose you could say it however you want, though most Catholics will probably say it the way they’re accustomed to at Mass.
I think you’ll find that there are variations in a lot of prayers. Take the Suscipe of Ignatius of Loyola as an example.
Receive, O Lord, all my liberty. Take my memory, my understanding, and my entire will. Whatsoever I have or possess Thou hast bestowed upon me; I give it all back to Thee and surrender it wholly to be governed by Thy Will. Give me love for Thee alone along with Thy grace, and I am rich enough and ask for nothing more.

Or is it…
Receive, O Lord, all my liberty.
Take my memory, my understanding, and my entire will.
Whatsoever I have or hold, You have given me;
I give it all back to You
and surrender it wholly to be governed by your will.
Give me only your love and your grace,
and I am rich enough and ask for nothing more.

Or maybe it’s…
Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding
and my entire will,
All I have and call my own.
You have given all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.
Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace.
That is enough for me.

Obviously they’re all expressing the same idea. It’s a question of how they’re translated from the original Latin and which one an individual prefers.
