“The truth is that the sexual revolution of the 1960s has scarred us more deeply than we imagine. We literally wallow in moral and sexual pollution. Not only so, but we glory in it. Filth has become a path to fame.”
another uncalled for post that is 100% ad hominem.Oh, poor baby! I don’t recall Michael Brown being oh-so scandalized by Trump’s “You’ve gotta grab 'em by the p****” maxim. Hard to treat anyone on the Trump-loving religious right as anything but a hypocrite when they complain about stuff like this now. They have lost all credibility.
And that somehow make’s Trump’s philosophical statement any less repugnant? I fail to see how. Pretty much a total fail as far as “debunking” is concerned. If someone were to debunk your claim, one could say that Trump’s comment was locker room talk, a private conversation, and the song in question is publicized and broadcast for all to hear on purpose.
Actually it was a good debunking. People make off color comments and jokes when talking privately. Producing repugnant material for consumption has a good word to define it: pornography.Pretty much a total fail as far as “debunking” is concerned.
Actually, no. Precisely because I doubt that anyone on the Trump-loving Religious Right would defend someone on the other side of the political aisle if they were to make such an “off color joke or comment”.Actually it was a good debunking. People make off color comments and jokes when talking privately. Producing repugnant material for consumption has a good word to define it: pornography.
In the political world? Probably not. Ordinary people? They do all the time.Precisely because I doubt that anyone on the Trump-loving Religious Right would defend someone on the other side of the political aisle if they were to make such an “off color joke or comment”.
And how, pray tell, is that not hypocrisy? In the political world? Probably not. Ordinary people? They do all the time.
The person in question does not hold himself out as a politician, and would probably deny that his actions are politically motivated. He does, on the other hand, hold himself out to be an expert and leader in the area of “Christian” morality.Oh all politicians are hypocrites, man. Comes with the job, apparently.
Because I don’t see much in the way of what I would consider genuinely Christian in his writings. Why the scare quotes around Christian?
That’s another ad hominem. A good point is a good point regardless of who says it.The point is lost when it comes from a hypocrite.
Yes, I get it. You love Trump.Again, private jokes vs public consumption.
