Is the Spirit of Jesus referring to the Holy Spirit?

The Spirit of Jesus is the Holy Spirit. God is a Trinity.

According to the Haydock Commentary on the Douay Bible:

7 And when they were come into Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus permitted them not.

Ver. 7.* The spirit of Jesus permitted them not.* It is the same spirit, which just before was called the Holy Ghost: for the Holy Ghost is the spirit of Jesus, as proceeding from the Son as well as from the Father. (Witham)

In the previous verse to this one, in fact. Here is the Haydock Commentary on verse 6:

6 Now having passed through Phrygia, and the country of Galatia, they were forbidden, by the Holy Ghost, to preach the word of God in Asia.

Ver. 6. They were forbidden by the Holy Ghost, to go, and preach at that time in the Lesser Asia [Asia Minor], perhaps because their preaching in Macedonia was more necessary; or because St. John was to be sent into Asia [Asia Minor]. (Witham) — Forbidden. Why? Because they were not yet prepared to receive the gospel; or, perhaps, these provinces were reserved for St. John, as Bithynia was for St. Luke. (Menochius) — St. Leo compares this question to many others respecting the inscrutable judgments of God. Why did not the Son of God come into the world many ages before? Why did he suffer so many to die in ignorance? Why are there yet so many in infidelity? Why, in one family, does one believe and is converted, while another remains in darkness, and crime? Thus the Holy Spirit (sent by the Father and or through the Son) is the Spirit of both. Because even though Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are different from each other , they are the One True God, and 3 Persons related to each other.
If they were not different, they would not be related. But because Jesus said when you see him you see the Father (who is Father because there is the Son, and vice-versa), when the Spirit comes, it is the Spirit of God the Father and God the Son.

How I picture them is three, individual, joined, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,…
meaning there is a Father, there is a Son, and there is a Holy Spirit.

I see the Holy Spirit as another person, like the Father is and the Son is,…we don’t hear about Him the way we hear about the Father and the Son, because we haven’t seen His earth walk, nor do we have a picture of Him, with an analogy, ie. the Father has the picture of Father, for us, all we know of Father fits into that image, when we hear the word Father,…however we don’t have a similar something to relate the Holy Spirit too.

I don’t think the Holy Spirit is just the Father’s Spirit, or the Son’s Spirit, I think He is a separate individual.

ie. I think the Spirit of Jesus, is just that - Jesus’ Spirit, but I think the Holy Spirit is a separate individual person, one of the joined Godhead, but Not the Spirit of Jesus, and Not the Spirit of the Father, He is His own person.

I know this is a seeming tiny point and compared to the whole bible, seemingly unimportant, however, since the Bible is the Inspired Word of God, all that is in it is very important. Out of the study of one small point can come Gold, like panning for gold nuggets in a river.

Revelation from God out of His Word can come from the seemingly slightest point.

The Holy Spirit must be a person, like Jesus is a person, and the Father is a person.
Its’ difficult to see Him this way, because we don’t have ‘other’ things about Him to relate Him too, the way the father image and the son image have mental pictures of what a father and a son is to relate that too.

The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, we only have ‘ghost’ mental pictures to relate to that.

Although they are joined, 3, in One, they are also individual Persons.

I’m just saying that Jesus’ Spirit is not necessarily the Holy Spirit, since Jesus and the Holy Spirit are two individual Persons joined in the Godhead, yet still individual as far as Person is concerned.

If you think of the Holy Spirit as an individual Person in the Godhead, you can see what I am trying to say.

Genesis chapter 1: the creation for instance.

But the point is, the Spirit of Jesus is not another Spirit as the Spirit of God, or Holy Spirit. Since Jesus is God, His Spirit is the Spirit of God.
