I have very close family members who have been agnostics most of their lives. I’ve had many long discussions and debates about faith. It is how I grew up. I just don’t think you can find a formula for why somebody is agnostic or atheist…other than faith just doesn’t fit into the world view of the agnostic or atheist. However, everybody’s world view is completely unique. Everybody’s journey is radically different. There are not buttons you can push to automatically convert an atheist or agnostic.
So how do you turn them towards faith? Accept them no matter what and love them. Talk to them. Debate them. Discuss faith with them. A conversion won’t be easy or quick…maybe sometimes it shouldn’t be quick or easy.
