What they don’t comprehend is that in so doing, they are cutting their own national throats as people who presumably would like to preserve liberal democracy. You cannot march confidently and coherently into the future feeding yourself on the thin gruel of “diversity.”

So the consensus of both Mr. Muray and Rod Dreher is that the west is headed for a fate quite similar to the fall of Rome in 476, with the exception that this time, the Church itself is not in a position to help, having been itself discarded by the dying western civilization.

I put this link in Popular Media since Douglas Muray has just published a book on the matter, titled “The Strange Death of Europe.”

Somehow I doubt that the book will have much impact, precisely because people in a dying civilization do not care.

Sadly I agree 100%. I have been watching this happen over the years and I am afraid we will end up a Muslim country as well as Europe. The Muslims are having children as well as quickly spreading out to many countries. Not to many years ago I never saw a Muslim lady in our city but today I see them everywhere! And we all know what their plans are for America!!! I pray the Christians of America pull together, pray their hearts out and bring God back to our kids first, others next and hopefully to our society. Western Europe was blessed when its various tribes submitted to the Vicar of Jesus Christ and became Catholic.

Western Europe later tried to shrug off the Vicar, and then even the King.

The result was the Thirty Years War, deism, the Enlightenment, the French Revolution, atheism, World War I, World War II, existentialism and postmodernism.

Hopefully we will soon see the error of our ways and come running home to our merciful King and His Vicar.

The Muslims are having children as well as quickly spreading out to many countries. Not to many years ago I never saw a Muslim lady in our city but today I see them everywhere! And we all know what their plans are for America!!!

What are their plans for America? To work hard? To find jobs? To live a better life? They’re so nefarious. And while we’re at it, since we are a Christian country we should also kick out the Hindus, Jews, Sikhs, Buddhists, and ect. And then we need to purify our Chrisitianity by getting rid of those sects that aren’t in alignment with the true teaching. Hopefully they don’t have a non-Catholic deciding that matter.

Did I go to the extreme of it at the end? Yes, but here’s the thing: we need to remember that our country has always been one with many religions and the vast majority of Muslims are going to have similar values for the secular realm. (Theology of course will be different, but that’s another matter.) The erosion of Christian values in some areas is prevalent, but a woman wearing a headscarf isn’t the end of the world. (In fact I’m guessing that for every Christian aghast at Muslims in the West you’ll find a Muslim aghast at how Muslim women aren’t wearing the full on burkas anymore and lamenting the West’s intrusion into Middle Eastern culture.)

So while there are some legitimate concerns, let’s also be realistic.

“The Suicide of Europe” was the exact term used by Pope Benedict the 25th to describe the outbreak of World War 1. I find it - at the absolute best - a stretch to call the current situation suicide, except when dealing with implicit or explicit anti-family values.

IMO, that’s the only thing that can ultimately break a people. Even if you’re literally taken over by external forces - such as with Poland - the nation itself is preserved if the family is preserved.

Certainly no one is saying that only white people can be Catholics. Certainly not the author of the book in question, Douglas Murray, who is an atheist. For Europe, it is not even a question of attempting to impose Christianity or even European culture, because it has discarded Christianity and diluted what’s left of Western culture to the vanishing point. It is Mr. Murray, the atheist, who writes these words:

Then there is the important election this Sunday in France (May 7th). If immigration is a concern to French voters, the two candidates are on the extreme opposite ends. Macron is not concerned for national borders, and if/when elected, is already talking about pushing for sanctions against Poland for their refusal to take in redistributed migrants there. A true globalist he is.

Le Pen would be tough on immigration and protect national borders. Radical mosques will be shut down and hate preachers expelled. Any association to Salafism or the Muslim Brotherhood will be dissolved, she recently said.

Hope the people of France understand the issues before voting. Elections do have consequences. I watched a video the other day of a series of Macron supporters being interviewed. One after another didn’t have a clue why they supported him other than thinking he was a young and vibrant guy to lead the country.

For Britain, it’s path to suicide was documented in Peter Hitchen’s The Abolition of Britain in 1999. A lot of what’s in his book can be applied to many Western countries. It really is a good read for those who haven’t read it before.
Unlike Douglas Muarry, who’s more fixated on mass immigration and Islam, Hitchen’s book is broader and shows how TV, education reforms, urban planning, the dumbing down of the Church of England, birth control pill and American pop culture among other things played their roles in the ‘abolition of Britain.’ Instead of only focusing on immigration and Islam, let’s take a look at what has happened since at least the 1920s. Mass immigration and Islam, though do play their different roles in this, are not the only things causing Europe’s suicide, it’s much broader. The suicide would still happen with or without mass immigration and Islam.
