What you’re basically asking is, “Why is there evil?” There are two answers, one logical, and the other sentimental. The logical answer is, because creation is necessarily evil. Anything that is not-God is imperfect to a greater or lesser degree. The sentimental answer is more complex, and rhetorical: Why do we experience imperfection as suffering? The Christian answer is because of the fall, which disrupted the original harmony between our experience and our existence.Why did God design our bodies with any of our various imperfections?
