Please don’t confuse the Thomas More Society as a defender of Catholicism or Christianity. It has been on the losing end of several cases. While it was arguing about a cross on public land out west it was the ACLU which had to defend a Connecticut bishop against a state move to make the archdiocese register as a lobbyist.
Further, the law group opposed the Affordable Care Act, which was supported by many of the religious in the US. For its lawsuit (which it eventually lost) the Thomas More Society pointedly sued: “Barack Hussein Obama”. Nice.
