In this case God the Creator is primary, the Divine Person from whom both the Son and the Holy Spirit proceed.

Understanding God as Love, the Holy Spirit is the Breath between the two Persons, giving of themselves, in one God, to each other. The Father breathes out, the Son breathes in.
The Word, the Son, proceeds from the Father by eternal generation This eternal begetting of the Son is not a becoming, but as one God it is a being outside of and greater than all time. In this relationship, the Holy Spirit proceeds from both. In the unity of His divinity, God is eternally Father and Son united in mutual perfect love.
