That is what the Bishops thought.That he Indult Mass would be used by the old and senile . Its popularity with people brought up on the New Mass. Has upset them to no end.Thats why they have obsructed its spread as much as they can.The New Orders of Tridentine priests is also a major iritent to the bishops, because of their popularity. If as is believed the Indult is to be expanded. The bishops are going to be very unhappy,Good !

i think that the novus ordo mass was a blunder. it was too radical of change and is basically a fabrication. now, a true organic development would be the tridentine mass with vernacular readings with an additional reading from the OT, and vernacular propers. i hear this is basically what the missal of 65’ was, a true organic development.

now we have the problem of polarization of traditionalists who are unwilling to budge an inch and progressives who feel the reforms have not gone far enough. B16 pretty much called the reforms a mistake. but i don’t think he’ll change anything. he feels that they should slowly bring the liturgy back by being faithful to the GIRM and incorperating more gregorian chant and latin or whatever.

it’s going to be a slow process but i don’t think it’ll go far enough. not like my opinon matters anyways.

The Bishops of France actually threatened schism if there was going to be universal indult. But then they are in big trouble, i hear that there is 12 priest to one parish, and at least 50% who attend Mass, do so in an indult or SSPX Chapel. That is like 8% of the total who attend Mass in France.
Another thing to note, Mosques and Muslims moving into France.

My diocese said the Tridentine MAss is for old people who cannot handle change. Yet there was once a parish that hosted the Traditional Latin Mass and guess what, they had the highest number of vocations in the diocese. But sadly, they shut TLM down, even thought it was jammed packed and popular.
