Now look at the words of Jesus Himself:

John 3:16 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 17:3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Jesus never says “God the Father”. Jesus was saying He had a God. Even St Paul says that God is the “God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ”.

If Jesus knew He was part of the triune God, why did He say His Father is God, without clarifying which Person? How do we know if Jesus was talking about the Father or the Holy Spirit? They are both God, aren’t they?

That’s actually the orthodox teaching of the CC. That there is three Persons in one God (nature). Each Person fully has the nature of God.

Too bad “Split Personalities” are seen as a mental anomaly. But thats almost the exact material equivalence of the Trinity.
 
That just dosent make sense to me, I just cant bring myself t get to grips with this concept of three persons in one God…🤷

well if you think of the eternity that God spent being alone. then the God with a split personality makes the most sense.

can you bring yourself to get the grips of the concept of omnipresence? i can’t. Does it mean God is not omnipresent?

If yu are Sunni, then you believe the Word of Allah is Allah. This is 2/3 of the Trinity. If you understand this, then you will understand the Trinity. What do you think?

Again waht is your definition of “person”? Is it the same as that used in Chrsitian Theology?

No this is the teaching:

1 person + 1 person + 1 person = 3 persons (with one nature)

make sure you understnd the difference between person and nature in the context of the Trinity. Check out the Sheed book. God bless.

How is that different to what Ive said? Also, don’t worry about Sheed’s book. I already have “Theology and Sanity”. Also, he is not a Pope, or was around when Jesus walked the earth.

The statement was 1+1+1 equals 3 persons. I was clarifying that all 3 persons have the same nature. Which gets back to your definition of nature and person.

What about Sheed’s book do you diagree with?

Can only a Pope explain the Trinity?:confused: Sheed’s book is based on Catholic doctrine.

Does that mean Muhammed did not exist since no one is alive who lived when he did?:confused:

How do you know that God does not have this Tri-une form?

I think this thread has demonstrated that muslims do not understand the Trinity (as explained in the quran) so when they say the Trinity is not possible they are not refering to what the real trinity is. You must first understand what Christians believe to be the Trinity and then refute that with logical arguements. not just state that the quran says so.

John

1:1
