you have a very good point!
If friendship puts all the Christians on ignore she will then have me to deal with!

And if she puts me on ignore she will have very few left. I don’t think that is what she really wants.
Here is something from Yahya bin Sharaf ad-Din an-Nawawi.

However interpreted, the standard view on Qur’anic abrogation concerning war and peace verses is that when Muslims are weak and in a minority position, they should preach and behave according to the ethos of the Meccan verses (peace and tolerance); when strong, however, they should go on the offensive on the basis of what is commanded in the Medinan verses (war and conquest). The vicissitudes of Islamic history are a testimony to this dichotomy, best captured by the popular Muslim notion, based on a hadith, that, if possible, jihad should be performed by the hand (force), if not, then by the tongue (through preaching); and, if that is not possible, then with the heart or one’s intentions.
It is what I have tried to say in other posts. She puts love down, and says ‘I love you’, and I don’t read too much from her about love. Deception and/or ignoring the violence towards others in Islam is the opposite of love. Doing nothing to change Islam and telling me that there is nothing wrong with Sharia laws is not loving either. Sharia laws are disasters of intolerance. It is obsessive compulsive, paranoid, and in many instances it allows Muslims to be judge jury and executioner. How loving is that? It usually is a matter of how fast they can execute and how they do it that is bothersome.
