Planten, where are you?
Some of them are over on the thread, “Muslims, what exactly do you believe?”Planten, where are you?
Dear Young Thinker, Friendship had come from Iran with Love. It was a rare gift. I miss that Friendship very much. For a long time, I did not know that Friendship was banned. I only hope that ban was not forever.Planten, where are you?
Thank you.Dear Young Thinker, Friendship had come from Iran with Love. It was a rare gift. I miss that Friendship very much. For a long time, I did not know that Friendship was banned. I only hope that ban was not forever.
But it appears that Friendship may have left us permanently.
Interesting. Some of them are over on the thread, “Muslims, what exactly do you believe?”
Perhaps only you were jinn.Or hey buddy are you still one of them?Originally, all humans were Jinn, living in caves without any laws.
morning_star, welcome, curious star, There is plenty of man and Jinn (Ins wa Al Jinn) in the Quran, i.e. about the local as well foriegn people, i.e. the sons of the soil and outsiders. If any one wants to find out about the Jinn,he/she must read the Quran.Perhaps only you were jinn.Or hey buddy are you still one of them?I am curious!
I do think that in this way Islam is making King Solomon and all the Israelite at that time as pagan as it’s surrounding by stating that they were helped by the jinn …! What’s the difference of Solomon and the pagan ancestors of local Indonesian who were told in the mythology to have asked an army of jinn/invisible creatures to help build a big boat that suddenly became a mountain (which is amazingly does look like a boat)?morning_star, welcome, curious star, There is plenty of man and Jinn (Ins wa Al Jinn) in the Quran, i.e. about the local as well foriegn people, i.e. the sons of the soil and outsiders. Quran tells us that Iron was melted at the hands of King David. Quran tells us that King Soloman had many Jinn working under his command, some of them were making large pots for cooking and others were making castles and palaces and underwater works (fountains).
The Jinn were employed in the building of the Great Temple at Jerusalem. The king Soloman died just before that temple was completed. But there was no official announcement (gazette) of the death of King Soloman. The Jinn who had the contract to serve the king Soloman had to keep on working until the Temple was completed.
There are many interesting useful items described in the Quran. But the language of the Quran is high level. Example: The melting of Iron in teh hands of King David did not mean that iron was melted in his hands. It means that Iron industry was there in the time of King Soloman and he made good use of it. It means there were furnaces and Iron was being produced.
I know a few very decent Muslims of high moral character and charity.Islam has failed to be a religion of peace.
well, then murder should be rewarded by another murder…seems it won’t give an end to vendetta or any other clash, especially when people would never accepted the blame…Islam, while having some very deep flaws, is meant to be a peaceful religion. If Islam is a violent religion and the Quran teaches violence, then why does it have this verse in it?
“…if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.”
[Al-Qur’an 5:32]
Holly’s point is a good one. That was a very good post (#939) from Holly (The Budhist). But still some catholics cannot see the reality. They are protesting about Islam. I find no reason for their complaints. Praise is for the Holly.
Does this mean Islam is good?I know a few very decent Muslims of high moral character and charity.
Could be if you accept the maxim that by their fruits you will know them.Does this mean Islam is good?
