Still haven’t answered my question in post #5.

Still waiting 🍿 🍿

(The extra popcorn is for happymommy)

Bill Maher, you don’t get any until you answer the nice man’s question…
Erm, I believe I did.
Evolution, as a as fact regarding natural selection and as a theory of the origin of man disproves nothing of the Church.

The evidence I have is the Church that Jesus Christ started and her teachings that have endured since its beginning.

What say you?
Evolution does not disprove the notion that Jesus Christ made every species independently of the others? I’m sure it does.

That is not evidence. Yet again, the Bible has no evidence. You would think that over all these thousands of years that the Bible would have at least an ounce of evidence to back up its credibility. It appears not.

It’s a work of fiction.

I like the way you turn the tables. Ok, just because that devout Christian said so does not make it true. I agree. So, why believe the Bible when it possess no evidence?

Anyway, the proof is in the pudding. Church attendances are dropping considerably every year. Year upon year. What does that tell you?

Erm, you are stating the Bible is fact. Prove it. Bet you wont, bet you can’t.
While I’m not one to Feed the Trolls, here’s something you might find interesting:

telegraph.co.uk/topics/christmas/3630732/Church-attendance-rises-as-recession-deepens.html

Here’s more information for you to poke holes in. I am certain that it being a UK article you will feel that it is not worthy of you or your Idol Bill Maher, but here you go.

Spouting Religulous. I suppose if I started a thread about the Documentary Expelled, and how it portrays Darwinism you would come out spitting. Did you expect us to do the same? A documentary is only as good as the facts and OPINIONS that it portrays.

BTW I have no desire to even attempt to address your OP, so don’t even try to bait me.

My best guess is the next time I try to access this post, the moderators will have deleted this post and banned you from this site. 👍

Oh, my apologies, I must have missed it. Can you tell me the post number where you answered my question by providing (just one) credible source that states that the apostles did not know, and had never met, Jesus Christ?

🍿

Yes, and I will be completely STUFFED on this popcorn.

Banned for throwing doubt on the credibility of the Bible? Hmm, that’s a little unfair.

The Bible is made-up. It is false. That is my belief based on enormous amounts of evidence.

The Bible incites racism, homophobia, bigotry, misogyny, and violence. I am happy not to be affiliated with such a barbaric system.

P.S. I’m away now. Hopefully this thread still exists tomorrow. I can’t believe it might be deleted because of someone questioning the Bible.

Right, time for some homosexual love. Goodbye.

Erm, does the fact that the stories within the Bible have been disproved on numerous occasions and that it offers no evidence not cast doubt over the whole book?

sigh

That was my last post.

P.S. Is it just humans that go to heaven?

Right. And all I’m asking is for only one bit of that enormous amount of evidence.

Or, the post number asked for above.

🍿

I won’t even address the end of your post, but I think I now see the real problem you have with Christianity.

Yes, and I will be completely STUFFED on this popcorn.

Well, I did not plan on coming back this soon, but I LOVE a good trainwreck, which is why I cannot watch Trainwreck TV (survivor and the ilk).

So please slide over and share the Popcorn!!! 🍿

So waddya want to talk about now that Maher is gone? I hope that he can find what he is looking for, because he is an awfully angry man.

Religion causes conflicts all over the world. The world will end in the name of religion.
OK, time for you to stop blowing off steam and to prove your point. Go back for the past 100 years and document all the armed conflicts around the world in that time. Then break them down as to major causes, and show us what percentage of people who died in these conflicts, died as a result of religious conflict.

Then remove militant Islam from the mix and show us those new numbers. After all, you’re posting on Catholic Answers, not Muslim Answers.

I predict a number below 1%…

The extra popcorn is for happymommy 🍿
oh thanks for sharing with a narrow-minded, deluded, Catholic Christian!!
I hope that he can find what he is looking for, because he is an awfully angry man
I think angry is only about half of the problem!!

Too bad. I was going to ask why your* ratings have plummeted since you started attacking religion.

(And no, I don’t have any proof of that. Just like you don’t have any proof of your assertions. That’s what makes unfounded assertions so much fun! 👍 )

*assuming you are really Bill Maher, which would surprise me, since you actually sound more intelligent and articulate than he has for years. )

I don’t think he’s really Bill Maher. According to Maher’s profile, he’s 19 years old. Bill Maher seems slightly older than that. 🙂

Ok, I’ll take his place, then:
You Christians are so deluded. The Bible clearly says that Jesus walked on water. Science easily disproves this. I just saw an episode of Mythbusters where they tried walking on water using big styrofoam blocks and it didn’t work. So, how could Jesus have done it? They didn’t even have styrofoam back then, and if they did, I bet Jesus wouldn’t be as good as the Mythbusters in making big styrofoam block shoes.
Anyway, the whole argument is silly because Jesus didn’t even know the guys in the boat, so how could he be walking there in the first place? This is all easily disproven by science and that religulous show I just watched and besides there’s Darwin and natural selection and stuff.
Gotta go now and rent some old Monty Python movies. I heard they also disprove Christianity, so let’s see how you all answer Monty.

Now wait a minute! I clearly saw Chriss Angel prove that you could walk on water. He even had a bunch of bikini wearing chickies swim between where he was stepping to prove that he was not walking on anything other than water. And he did this on television, with people watching in real life even. *Clearly this proves that Jesus walked on water. *, as if a contemporary person can do it… 👍 ( did I go overboard? Sometimes I am inappropriate) God’s not finished with me yet.

Ok I’ll shut up now and go back to my 🍿

gee… I’m so narrow-minded I can’t believe either of you:D

Yes, but Chris Angel believes in Darwinism and therefore you have proven my point. I also have it on good authority that Chris Angel saw the movie “Religulous”, so therefore he can, in fact walk on water. It’s a scientific fact.

Arrggg! You trapped me on that one. I guess I will have to relent. I guess all that I can do is tuck my tail between my legs and admit that you are right about everything. How can I have been so blind?? Thank you, Thank you for making me see the errors of my way.
