What a load of garbage. Check out this quote:
*
“To me, the church is not the doctrine,” he says. “It’s not the institution. The church is really the people.”*

Which is a coy way of stating that you are a liberal Protestant without leaving the Church.

Vatican** has some dated views **of homosexuality. Because the Catechism, a teaching manual for Catholics, makes a distinction between homosexual acts and homosexual tendencies, the Vatican says homosexuality can be “transitory.” In other words, actions, though they are a grave sin, can be forgiven. And priests who haven’t acted on their sexual urges in at least three years could still be ordained. That’s an example of how the Vatican cherry-picks the science and psychology it favors and ignores or distorts that which goes against its doctrines.

Truth is now one view among many?

Also, the document does not say not acting on urges for three years is the standard.

What a bunch of drivel, whoever said this quote either never spent an hour in a CCD or Catechism class or else slept through them (as he/she probably did during most homilies as well).

Though I know as Christians we have to express charity toward these people, statements such as these floor me…

My words exactly.
