Don’t quote me on this, but I swear that I may have read something about Vatican City having a secret “illegal immigration” issue… as in a couple of stray cats that have wandered onto the Vatican City grounds that the pope simply “happens” to feed and take care of. 😃

The City of Rome has a very large population of feline residents and they seen to cross the border over into Vatican City, without a visa.

I never saw this, but people who worked with Cardinal Ratzinger said that he would carry treats in his pocket as he walked from the Holy Office to the Vatican. Hmmm . . . I’m sure they were not treats for Pope John Paul. 😃
