Amazing, Gregory Peck played this Priest in the movie “The Scarlet and the Black” which the article references.

The article states:

Rest in Peace, what a bit of history, I will have to go find this movie.
 
We have that movie and just watched it again a few days ago. Gregory did a great job. Quite believeable.👍
