:thumbsup:Absolutely FANTASTIC GLORIOUS,i was in Edinburgh to see the St Ninians Day Parade followed by The Pope.It was the feast day of St Ninian, who officially brought Catholicism to Scotland Approximately 360 AD,although some of The Roman Legion who occupied Britain were Catholics.
You had to be there in person to experience the excitement,130,000 Catholics lined Princes Street in Auld Reekie (Edinburgh) in 100% unism.I stood beside Catholics from Sri Lanka,Brazil,Germany Poland Ireland Scotland, there were many more nationalities and tourists lining the streets .So much for the Humanist ***,and the worlds top Anti Catholic Bigot Ian Paisley, who predicted that hardly anyone would turn up,Paisley stayed well out the way with his bigoted protest which attracted a mere 60 poor souls, yes make no mistake about it ,we Scots Catholics proved yet once again we are 100% loyal to our Pontiff, and The Faith Of Our Fathers
Each Pipe Band followed by pupils from Schools named after St Ninian, also historical Catholic figures throughout the history of Catholic Church in Scotland.
Then the climax when The Pope came along Princes Street,i waved to him ,and i swear to God he seen me and waved back ,i think he actually noticed the large Brazilian banner, next to my Papal flag, draped over the barrier. The Pipe Bands ,playing the famous Scottish tune----Highland Cathedral-----in his honour as he went past
One of the best and most exciting days in my life
Faith of our fathers living still, inspite of dungeon fire and sword.
As the old Jacobite song goes ,and sung by 300,000 to Pope John Paul 11,in his visit to Bellahoustan Park Glasgow 1982-------Will ye no come back again.
And he did,in Benedict in Feast Day Of Ninian ,16/9/2010
God Bless Our Pope The Great The Good:thumbsup:
