No Rinnie, but the lies are being told by you and not by me. No wonder since the NT was written, we have to deal with so many lies.

The Fathers of the Church translated for everyone the same word as invited with the purpose to discard the possibility that Jesus was the Bridegroom, because of the Christ of Paul. But the real Jesus of Nazareth was an observant Jew, and anything not Jewish about him is a lie. So, the NT is full of them.

Yes, the disciples were invited; why should not they be? But Jesus once there “was called” to take his Bride. That’s a Jewish thing. I don’t expect you to understand. I expect of you to respect, and not name call a Jewish custom a lie. I wonder very much if Jesus himself would approve your attitude against a fellow Jew of his.

What makes you think this is true? It could very well be a lie, in order to cover the truth about what was really going on in Canah. I have answered all your questions more than several times. Your pleasure to deny what I am saying is used as a
weapon against your own lack of logical arguments. I am sorry.

Ben: 🙂
That is simple Ben. Because we have the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide our church. Jesus said I will not leave your orphans. We have the Church, so we do not have to go to these measures to cover one lie after another. We have the Church. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

My pleasure to deny what you are saying. Okay you are right. It is a pleasure to say you have no idea what scripture means. You have no authority, nor ever will. So you are really wasting your time. No Catholic will turn against Jesus Christ. OR the Apostles so you mind as well cut your loses and hit the road. You have LOST AGAIN. :rotfl:

Oh brother! The wedding conspiracy theory.
Conspiracy theory sounds much likely to insist that Jesus spent almost four years of his life fulling around with 12 unemployed guys without the company of a woman. That makes much less sense than all the elaborations based on the evidences of his being married.

Ben: 🙂

Wuh?

Oh brother! The wedding conspiracy theory.
Oh yeah Mickey, Its priceless. How about you Mick, did you get invited to your own wedding. ITs unreal the things they come up with. I don’'t know whats better though, Jesus getting invited to his own wedding or his bride. Whom he never met until long after the wedding. ITs the new movie comming out. Now its the gospel according to dummy’s, :rotfl: Instead of the bible for dummy’s. 😃 And we all can guess who the author is.:hmmm:

I think you are the one who should cut your losses and leave because this is a NON-Catholic section of the Forum. I don’t think you can’t handle the truth. All you do is to accuse me with being a liar. You don’t have the least trace to qualify you to discuss controversial matters. You are too easy to insult people who can’t believe the way you do. Therefore, I beg of you not to pick any more of my posts for a reply. I have come to the conclusion that you have nothing to teach or to learn.

Ben:😊

I don’t know if Jesus married Mary Magdalene.🤷
But whatever happened, it didn’t change the message:🙂

Oh now you are going to start on the OT. They lie too? Did you hear that folks. Now Ben what are you saying Moses never died and was buried? David, what never existed or what. THis is getting deeper every minute. Abraham never what existed, so could never have died, so could not be buried. Is that what’s up next. Pleeeeeeeeeeease!😦
You can’t even understand what you read.

Deal. Im gone. Because you are correct. I will learn nothing from someone who cannot teach. So Im outta here. Also I did not accuse you of being a liar, you did that to yourself. I just repeated what you were trying to teach. That indeed were lies. According to my Church. Jesus Christ was not married. So if comes down to, only one could be telling the truth. And its not you. It would be nice if maybe you could answer others questions though. But you won’t because you can’t.

Another Lie according to Ben. Lets comtinue:

Johm 19:27 Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his Mother Women this is your SON. Then do the disciple he said this is your Mother. And from that hour the disciple took her into HIS home. (Now what Ben, Mary Mad. was really a man? What is that mind going to come up with next. Lets continue.
Jesus was an observant Jew. To recommend his mother to a male disciple is not Jewish. Therefore, it didn’t happen, because John was not at the Calvary.
The truth is that Jesus recommended his mother to his wife and vice-versa, his wife to his mother. The change of Mary Magdalene for John was invented by the Fathers of the Church with the purpose to deviate the mind of those who leave the thinking process with the Chruch.

Ben: 🙂

Oh, Now John lies too. Mickey as you put it Mamma Mia!😃

I don’t believe that Jesus was married, otherwise the apostles and/or his disciples would have mentioned such a detail. If one wishes to dispute the veracity of the Gospels/Traditions of our faith handed down to us by the eye witnesses/historians of Jesus’s ministry and life, you’ll need far more than speculation/assumptions to win the argument.

Therefore, it didn’t happen,Yes it did.
because John was not at the Calvary. Sure he was.

Yes I am fairly new round here.

The message is that Jesus came to save souls
"For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son; that whosoever believes in Him should not perish (in hell) but have everlasting life (in Heaven). – John 3:16.

As I said I don’t know whether or not Jesus was married - what I do know is that God sent his only begotten Son to save the world and to bring sinners (aren’t we all?) home to Him.

It doesn’t necessarily follow that the apostles.disciples, followers of Jesus would mention a marriage/betrothal because one has to also remember that in that day and time, women were not considered to be important in the scheme of things. But I don’t think Jesus thought that way because I believe that women were very much part of His ministry - they fed Him, put a roof over his head whilst He was on the road and generally looked after his needs whilst He was travelling and preaching.

I don’t dispute the veracity of the Gospels but it is interesting to note that those that were with Jesus did not write the Gospels. It is generally thought that the the first Gospel was written towards the end of the first century and not by Matthew although his name has been put to it. I think the Gospels are much like family history - stories handed down from one generation to the next until someone decides to record them. This is not to say that what is written is not true by any means.

Prove that it was invented by the Fathers of the Church? And another thing, why would Jesus hand over his mother to a Female (even if that female was married to her son). Do you believe Jesus had brothers?

Welcome Barbara, you must be new around. Anyways, what message are you talking about?

Ben: 🙂
Thank you for the welcome and yes, I am new round here.

Actually, that post wasn’t really meant for you but Ben Masada, sorry!

Also, marriages were considered a big deal in Jewish culture, in fact, weddings at that time would last for days. Hence, my reason for stating that had the disciples and/or apostles who knew Jesus and were privy to such information, would have written this down for posterity.

As for noting that the Gospels were written by people other than the Apostles, was not Luke the companion to Paul, and did they not both know the Apostles as attested in Acts. How about Mark was he not a companion to Peter, the one mentioned in Acts. Then, of course there is John, and well we know who John is. Also, this is the first time I have heard that Matthew was written by someone other than Matthew, but make no mistake, whoever this Matthew may have been, he sure knew some of the Apostles, most likely John if we go by what you wrote.

God Bless.
