My apology. You are correct. Now my question is. Why do you think Tertulus mentioned the sect of Nazarene? What is the sect of Nazarene? Precisely the follower of Jesus, correct? In your last posting you mentioned that Paul was not accepted into the sect of Nazarene. What sect of Nazarene do you have in mind if it is not the follower of Jesus?
Read your own NT.

swariffin;4905301:
Now, you wanna get into Politics, be my guest. Israel is not to blame for one single attack to Gaza. When Israel decides to fight back it’s because we can’t stand the daily cassam missiles they keep throwing into Israel every single day. We are too lenient. I wish to see this happening in America or even in your Indonesia and stand aside to see how you guys would react. It’s easy to blame the Jews for everything.

Ben:
I am just saying that 2 Jews may have 2 different ideas of something. So, an opinion of a Jew does not mean an opinion of all Jews. That is a simple fact, is it not? In other word, a Jew may argue with other Jew on anything. No politics, just a simple fact.

swariffin;4905315:
Don’t worry Swariffin, we don’t need to wait for the Messiah in order to rebuild our Temple. The Messiah is back since 1948. It’s all a matter of time and you will see our Temple rebuilt. The time that is taking so long is that this time we have returned too political. I mean, too afraid of Politicians. But that’s okay, the case is closed with you and I rest my case. Good luck for you too.

Ben: 🙂
Who was your Messiah in 1948? Or, in what form the Messiah came? Also, who was the Elijah in accordance with Malacci?

Surely you are not saying the British is God, since the British was the one responsible for forming the state of Israel in 1947.

Of course, Jesus loved her, too. But there is no evidence to suggest they were married. Why jump to a baseless conclusion? We have shown clearly the evidence you have provided denies your assertions.
If Jesus was not married, you are going to have to drop the claim that he was a Rabbi or even a Jewish man. But be careful because you might be contributing for the collapse of Christianity.

As I requested in an earlier post, "Can you please reference the Scriptures that say a teacher of the law must be married? I know priests were required to be married, Lev 21:13
But where does it command teachers to take a wife?

Ginger2:
Even if you could prove this, it doesn’t change the fact that you are wrong about Mary M. The disciple who refers to himself as the one “Jesus loved” is a man - not a woman. Therefore it is not Mary M.
You are so careless about these things that you don’t even think about the disservice you cause to Jesus’ credibility by claiming that he loved one of the 12 in a special way in spite of the others. “Beloved” is too special to be said without moral implications. I love my mother, but my beloved was my wife. Jesus could love his disciples; but his beloved was Mary Magdalene. A Jew would never call another “my beloved” if he is not a homosexual. I am sorry if only to use this word here could be an offense. But that’s what Christians make non-Christian think.

No offense taken. You are a not-Christian. But I am not the cause of your ignorance. You choose it freely.

“probably” is the reason you continue to run in circles. Show us evidence from the Scriptures. Telling us Jesus refers to a woman as “he” or “him” is not going to convince anyone.
I have to go in a circle because that’s the only way to get you coming in circles. I have showed you pleny of evidences in the Scriptures for my assertions;

I have disproved your “scriptural proofs”
Mary M. is a woman. The disciple in question was a man
Jesus was not the groom , he was a guest at the wedding.
Jesus denied responsibility for providing the wine
but the Scriptures are less important to you than church tradition. I don’t follow church Tradition. I’m not Catholic.

I am still waiting for your evidence…

Can you please reference the Scriptures that say a teacher must be married?

Priests were required to be married, Lev 21:13

But where does the law command teachers to take a wife?

Do not let Ben and company try to do more tricks. Standing on your head now huh ben:bounce: Here is something different:newidea: Lets try this.

To all of my Christian brothers and sister out there by now you can see why Ben and co. have such a hard time with Paul.

Read Galations. It sums up Ben pretty well. In Gal. 1:6-9 Paul even talks about people like ben, St Paul is astonished at how people are disagreeing with the truth of God. In 1:8 St Paul comes out and says anyone who does private interpretation is condemed.

Read Galations its all in there. Then we can put this puppy to rest.

OneTrueCathApos;4903075:
It says the Messiah. It doesn’t say Jesus. For you is Jesus because you assume it to be. For me it’s Israel because Isaiah tells me so.
For you it’s Israel because that is your interpretation of what you think Isaiah is telling you. How is it that you can accuse one person of assuming whilst you ‘know’? And arrogant with it!!!

Because he does not go by the bible, and the teaching’s of the church. He feel’s he can interprete scripture and we will go by what he say’s, But he will also get angry because as Catholics we know better. it is not for us to interprete scripture it is for the Church to do. Then after we understand scripture we can read in the light of Our Dear Lord Jesus Christ. If he went by the teaching’s of the bible he would have read where we do not have the ability to interpret scripture.👍

From what I can see reading the OP, Ben Masada seems to have forgotten a few things about Mary Magdalene and Mary Martha’s sister: even though a number of commentators believe believe that they both are the same person, there is no proof of it without the shadow of a doubt.
Also, as for Jesus being the bridegroom at Cana, forget it! The text says that Jesus and his disciples were “invited” to the wedding! Moreover, it calls Jesus by name, but when the master of the feast tasted the wine, he told, says the text, to the “bridegroom”. The text also says that no one but the servants (other than Jesus, of course) knew where the wine came from, so I am afraid Ben Masada’s OP is pointless!

At last! Sense.👍

I know Cluny, but that’s according to the first three gospels. The fourth gospel does not acknowledge those 40 days of fast in the wilderness. If fasting was what Jesus was doing and not feasting in Cana, you are going to discard the fourth gospel. Then, your NT will have only three gospels. Are you ready for that? I didn’t think so. Then, you are in trouble.

Now, if you insist that Jesus did not get married, he broke a commandment. The first ever given to grow and multiply. (Gen. 1:28) If Jesus did not fulfill that commandment, then what are you going to do with Matthew 5:17-19 when he said that he had come to fulfill all the laws to the letter? Big trouble, don’t you think so?

Ben: 🙂
First, Jesus was spreading the Good News of the Kingdom of God only after his baptism and the 40 days in the desert. So the wedding at Cana had to happen after the 40 days. No problem there. It isn’t said that it was his first opportunity of preaching, but that he performed his first sign.
As for breaking the commandment to grow and to multiply, what makes you say that he broke the commandment? There are many ways to “grow and multiply”! Even bachelors, by teaching, can actually “multiply”. They pass their knowledge on to others, who are, so to speak, their “little children”…

What an imagination.

This stuff has been refuted so many times in the last several years, it’s no longer amusing.
It’s ridiculous carnal minded garbage.

Still people can make a lot of money writing such nonsense.

Here;s the real conspiracy.

Jesus is The Messiah and he died to make a new covenant with the children of Abraham and those under that New Covenant are called The Bride of Christ. On the third day he rose from the dead and is now is the mediator of that covenant. Jesus is married to The Church. The Church is The Bride of Christ and Christ is The Faithful husband.

This reallity was prophecied long ago and through the ages but many people are blinded by either the devil or their own desires so that they are unable to see the light of the glorious gospel of the risen Christ.

They’ll never believe Jesus rose from the dead but let’s tell them anyway.

jake23;4903151:
Ben

God is not like a man to be married. We are not talking about God. We are talking about the Jewish man Jesus.
My finds about the wedding of Jesus is not based on gnostic writings of the 5th Century, but in the own NT i tself.

That’s Pauline rhetoric.

To do good on the Sabbath is not against the commandment. This is a Christian accustion in order to separate Jesus from the Jews.

True! Mary and Jesus did love each other, thank you. If Jesus was God he could never be taken as a model for men to avoid temptation. Men are not half-god to be that strong against temptations.

I know God is not limited by Jewish law, but Jesus was. And about the Jews not being special in the “eyes of God,” you have to refute the Scriptures not me.

And who decided that, you or Paul? Because Jesus himself, in his Sermon of the Mount said that the Jews are still the light of the world. (Mat. 5:14)

If Jesus was not married, you are going to drop the claim that he was a Rabbi or even a Jewish man. But I suggest that you think twice because if he was not Jewish, the whole building of Christianity will collapse. Now, good luck!

Ben: 🙂

Ben,

I see you are not on here to have questioned answere but to spread the hate that is in your heart. Weither you like it or not Christ is God in flesh and you will bow down to him one day wiether it is in this life or after your death! The reading of gosple in GREEK do not support your claims. Yes you can interpret allot of things if you would like, but that there is more than enough to feel confident in our beliefs. I could manipulate scripture from Moses too but I was raised to be better than that. Jesus is God and I am confident that I will not convince you otherwise but I am confidence that you will bow in shame and repentance on judgement day when you see your creator Christ come to judge you. You are revealing that you have hate by your persecution of Christians. For you to claim that Christ was married is as dumb and idiotic to me as it would for you if I would have calimed that the holacaust never happened! It only shows blind ignorance. I will pray that you will find the truth so that you may live a more honorable life through Christ our Lord!

For Ben I quote Jake:
“You are revealing that you have hate by your persecution of Christians”

Ben: Jesus was a Jew. Didn’t His own stone Him and kill Him? Didn’t they demand the release of Barabbas? Didn’t they kill him?

Why is there such hate in you towards those who are not of your faith? I believe that none of us has the right to decry any religion/belief in a bid to promote our own.

But remember Barbara we must not be like Ben, and hate. We must be like Jesus and forgive. ITs not easy, I for one know that. But I am on my way right now, as I will be the next Fridays until Easter to Stations of the Cross to remember what our Lord suffered for us. And we must as Christians pray for Ben. And all who refuse to accept our Dear Sweet Jesus. Our Lord and Savior. God Bless you all. and may GOds peace dwell within you!😃
