in Mahometanism.
some Christians don’t write our Prophet’s full name , just write Mo. Their intention is clear but still one gave an excuse that the name Muhammed (p) is too long & write/remember the name is hard.

May I ask why it’s hard for you to write Islam ? Is not that much easy than writing Mahometanism ?

We already have a thread for bashing Islam & Muslims ; still non-Muslims need to open threads to bash us almost daily . Oh my God. Before visiting Christians sites , really I did not know how some/many non-Muslims hate us .

Ever wonder , If Islam is that bad, why thousands & thousands people including western women became Muslim even after 9/11 ?

THE MYTH & THE REALITY

While I appreciate you taking the time to post, your answer did not at all address the video in question. I am interested to see what the opinion of mainstream Muslims are to this footage. Is it real? Is it fabricated? Is it exaggerated? Is it accurate as to the plight of some Muslim women? Is fear the main reason Muslim women tolerate these practices against them - would they stop them if they actually had any power to do so? Do these atrocities only happen to some women and most Muslim women are happy with their station in life?
Thank you.

P.S. On a side note, is there such a thing as a “battered women’s shelter” in any predominantly Muslim country?

Just a word of caution:

This video contains beheading of women, women being stoned to death, a woman being shot through the head, female circumcision live and the chared bodies of girls left to burn to death in a school.

It is extremely graphic. Do not click the link if such images disturb you.

I can’t watch video but thanks for the warning. I request all to post the warning like this at the top of the thread ; so that one knows what s/he is going to watch.

Islam says to punish both the sinner men & women. Surely many rapists are getting the death penalty in this world. I wonder , why people always post videoes on women as if there is no punishment for Muslim men ? When a non-Muslim gets death penalty , do u post video on his/her last moment ?

Yes. there are hundreds, if not thousands, of websites specialising in such videos.

Can you say something about the punishment meeted out to muslim men if they ‘‘sin’’.
Are muslim men stoned to death if they are accused of adultary?
Do muslim men have their penis’ removed?
Are muslim men beaten in the street by the religious police?
Are muslim men stoned to death in public by women given rocks by the religious police?

There’s no refuting the video evidence or the testimony of thousands upon thousands of women - BUT is there a checks and balance for men?

Let me say at the outset that I have not watched the video nor have I any intention of watching that sort of thing, and I do appreciate the warning. Nonetheless, I’ll try to answer some questions, God willing.

In almost every instance the punishment to men is the same for women. At the moment I can’t think of anytime when the punishment differs.
Are muslim men stoned to death if they are accused of adultary?
Accusing a woman of adultery or fornication is a big deal in Islam. If the woman is chaste, then it’s considered a major sin–hugely forbidden. If someone is going to accuse someone else of adultery, they need proof–four eye-witnesses. No other proof will suffice. Four eye-witnesses are needed, four people who actually saw the act take place. And how are they going to see the woman and not the man? Crazy. According to Shari’ah, both the man and the woman who are found to be guilty of the crime are to be stoned to death–and that is when they are found guilty in a court… based on proof. Without proof, the accusation is considered to be slander, and the sin is on the person who uttered it.
Do muslim men have their penis’ removed?
Muslim men are circumcised as are Jewish men.
Are muslim men beaten in the street by the religious police?
In such countries where “religious police” actually exist, yes they are. There is nothing about “religious police” in Shari’ah. Or if there is I never heard about it.
Are muslim men stoned to death in public by women given rocks by the religious police?
I can’t even imagine women watching much less participating in something so gruesome, honestly.
There’s no refuting the video evidence or the testimony of thousands upon thousands of women - BUT is there a checks and balance for men?
There is unjustice in the world for women–everywhere. In fact, no people have been more oppressed in the history of mankind than women have been oppressed by men. Islam when followed correctly protects women from such injustices. Naturally, the men will avoid Islam in order to follow their whims and desires (which lead to oppression of women) and then they have the audacity to claim it is Islam they follow but Allah knows best what they do.

IRAN. YOUNG MAN HANGED FOR RAPE

September 25, 2005: a young man was publicly hanged at a riverside in the Iranian town of Kashan, south of the capital, the country’s state-run news agency reported.

The 26-year-old man, who was identified as Esmail Hashemi, was lashed in public before the death sentence was carried out using a rope which was tied to the arm of a forklift. Hashemi had been accused of rape. (Sources: Iran Focus, 25/09/2005)

Sis Amy already pointed out that there is same punishment for both the men & women sinners.

I don’t know why there are women only in the video ( I did not watch it , I guess that’s why you are asking these questions ) & where are the men who committed the sin ?

If I ever get any power , InshaAllah ( God Willing) , I will try to punish the sinner men , too.
Do these atrocities only happen to some women and most Muslim women are happy with their station in life?
Islam is perfect , Muslims are not . I don’t think any Muslim woman blames Islam if any injustice happens to them . They have strong faith that on the last day , Allah will punish the sinners & the victims will be rewarded.
is there such a thing as a “battered women’s shelter” in any predominantly Muslim country?
In my country ( Bangladesh ) , we have some Govt & non-Govt shelter houses for poor , tortured women & children . Sadly these are not enough , we must do more for them. Precaution is better than cure ; so Islamic laws must be followed by all ; so that no one tortures others .

Sis Amy already pointed out that there is same punishment for both the men & women sinners.

**Then why weren’t any men punished when a 13 year old Mahometan girl who was a victim of rape was instead stoned to death as an adulteress?

As far as Mahometan and related forms, I’m using those used by our Founding Fathers. Deal with it.

And I type 100 wpm, so it’s no big deal to add a few more letters.**

I’m just being nosy/curious: Is this a “can’t” because you can’t open the link, a “can’t” because you are squeamish about violence or a “can’t” because of some religious/cultural reason? I’m just asking because I noticed Sister Amy wouldn’t/couldn’t/didn’t want to watch the video either. (Not that anyone has to, especially if they’re squeamish, but I thought it would be helpful to the discussion if one has seen the video in question - or perhaps you both have already seen this or similar videos???)

… Is this a “can’t” because you can’t open the link
Internet speed is very slow  it takes a lot of time to open video link ; Or may be my compu is too conservative ; so does not allow me to watch any kind of video 🤷

Mo had low opinions on women, what else do we expect from the Mohammedans?

Muslim Woman - thanks for the response. I just wasn’t sure - sorry your computer is slow.😦 (It may be just as well because the video is REALLY graphic as to the atrocities these women went through - especially the little 7 year old girl who was beheaded by her father because he suspected she had been raped by her uncle. That’s the kind of behavior that I REALLY don’t get   ). That’s why I wanted to know if this video is exaggerated and if these events are isolated and perpetrated by extremist individuals who misinterpret the Quran or is this common practice and no one speaks up for fear of the “religious police” coming to get them next.

** especially the little 7 year old girl who was beheaded by her father because he suspected she had been raped by her uncle.**

So why excecute the victim and let the perpetrator go free?

Exactly! Why kill an innocent 7 year old (you can’t tell me she did anything wrong to “entice” a man- not at 7 years old and according to Muslims not if she was wearing her hijab which she appeared to be in the video. Isn’t wearing a hijab supposed to protect girls/women?). Why wasn’t the father going after his brother or brother-in-law? And where is this girl’s mother to stand up for her daughter? Or like I asked, would she (the mother) then be next? I really don’t get it AT ALL!!??!! And how does beheading the little girl restore “honor” to the family? The pervert is still alive and part of the family!! 🤷 (Or maybe he was punished and the video doesn’t show this?? Although that still doesn’t explain the father’s murderous actions. That’s why I’m asking for a Muslim perspective as to how much this goes on in Muslim countries.)

Another thing that I noticed rather quickly from the responses from these women that follow Islam on CAF is that they are also saying that this happens to men.
How is this acceptable in any way how can this be viewed as a punishment and a just one at that?
I cannot accept in any way a religion that is not compassionate.

This can and may very well be fundamental muslims so that can be the excuse used by those that are living here in the states, and do not see this kind of treatment of their peoples.

It is just disgusting to even try to excuse this.

It’s kind of like calling Catholicism ‘Pope-ianity’ or something similarly foolish. I can’t imagine that would be a polite thing to say, or kindly taken by Catholics here for me to use that term. What you are saying offends us. The “Founding Fathers” lived in a different time–there’s nothing wrong with you choosing to use a higher and more informed word to describe my religion, the one which it calls itself: Islam.

Now to actually answer your question:

I wasn’t there, and I couldn’t do anything to stop it.

What did you do to stop it?
