On the other hand, if you insist on making ignorant comments using words that you don’t even know the meaning of or arrogant dismissals of ways of thinking that you have virtually no understanding of, regardless of the degree of sincerity that might underlie your bigotry, this will never transform the substantial frivolity of your remarks into something with sachliche relevance (if you’ll pardon the use of a German term).
I am not interested in conducting a conversation with you, due to the taunting, condesceding and provocative style.

From what experience of beings/being, or from what horizon of understanding, does the concept of the ‘soul’ bring to light something essential about the being (i.e., meaning, i.e., truth) of ‘life’? (And in this context, obviously, we would be looking for something essential that surpasses the list of functional characteristics that Edwin apparently finds insufficient.)

…of course Edwin may have other suggestions for appropriate questions to ask!
I’m sorry, but I’m not sure exactly what this means. Did you just rephrase my question?

Sorry, the moderator here has different ideas about what constitutes charity from me and perhaps this reply doesn’t make much sense after his charitable editing. 😉

I was suggesting what would probably be a better question to pose in order to develop an understanding of the relation of the notion of a ‘soul’ to that of ‘life’ (i.e., rather than your suggestion: “Does it have a soul?,” which appears to want to bypass the work of thinking which is requisite for the development of the prior grounds of intelligibility for a serious philosophical inquiry into the matter at hand - see my Hegel paraphrase above if what I’m saying here is hard for you to decipher).
