I love to pray, and have a lot of time to do it, due to my life circumstances. I use a liturgy book to almost ‘punctuate’ the day, watch the live mass on EWTN, pray five decades of the rosary and the divine mercy chaplet, as well as intercessions as I have the information for.

I’m well aware that this current positive attitude towards prayer will likely not last a great deal of time, and was wondering what I could do to shore up my faith for the times when prayer isn’t so sweet. I’m wondering about consecrating myself to Our Lady would be a good thing to do, as I am currently still a protestant. Does God hear and accept my prayers as a separated sister?

Yes! He hears and accepts your prayers, and Our Lady will definitely intercede for you…just ask. 🙂

God hears your prayers and God LOVES your prayers. (Subject, of course, to the usual conditions such as being in a state of grace or, failing that, a state of true sorrow and remorse over as-yet unforgiven sins.) Our Lady would lovingly accept your Act of Consecration.

Please continue on your journey into the Catholic faith. We need more prayerful people like you in the Church.

God accepts prayer from everyone, given it is truly prayer toward God. You could pray that Our Lady and the saints inspire you in times most needed, or even to obtain the grace of ceaseless prayer, like the Pilgrim in “The Way of the Pilgrim” sojourned to learn and discover. It is a real thing, and surely God would seem to want, though I don’t really know.

Oh how lovely, I am halfway through that book right now, it’s amazing.
