I have just wittnesed one of the (Edited) youtube videos (Edited) by a (Edited) group called “The Rational Response Squad.” In the video they so harshly preach that ANYONE who believes in ANY God or talks to any type of deity is absolutely delusional and suffers from a mental disorder, and they quote psycologists who agree. Has anyone else ever heard of this group?

Please inform me how religious people are delusional? I’m not talking about those who blow themselves up, but those who live a moraly good life as Christ taught on the sermon on the mount. Or please explain how we’re “irrational?” I couldn’t understand these two genius’.

Basically, they are saying most people are delusional. It is the psychology of “projection.” 🙂

They’re the ones who are delusional. Come Judgment Day, they’ll realize the truth, and they’ll be sorry.

The new age movement is trying to move people closer to athiesm.

The appeal of the new age movement as the media and many high profile people become more secular, is that this new age movement based primarily on heresies from the early church, requires no faith, the ultimate doubting Thomas.

These athiest seem very preoccupied with trying discredit something they think does not exist. Are they just trying to rationalize their own beliefs?

I’m not an atheist but I think I understand their point, which is: there is no objective proof of the existance of “God”. It is really all about faith. They want something that can be proven. Many also see the presence of evil in the world as proof that there is no “loving” God. I may be wrong on this - and it is probable that different atheists believe different things for different reasons, just like everyone else. 🤷

You’ve defined yourself as delusional. You admit to it, by defining your reasons as “faith”, a belief without evidence. We have another word for that “delusion”.

You don’t understand these two genius because you are delusional. The irony is probably lost on you, because you are delusional. And yes, it is reasonable to believe most people who talk to god could have a mental disorder, just like it is reasonable to suspect people who talk to fairies, trolls, lepercauns, or the like are out of their gord. Welcome to reality, you’re clinging onto a childish fantasy to make yourself feel better. That’s a psychological problem (Edited).

A few questions for you…
Where you always like this in your beliefs?
Just curious about what made you change?
What if you are wrong?
Do you feel good about yourself, trying to turn others against God?
What is your motive for trying to force this belief on others?
Is your trying to force your disbelief going to help make anything in this world better?
What do you consider proof?

Other words for making the leap from “faith” to “delusion” are “strawman” and “equivocation” and “intellectually dishonest”.

Faith is not belief without evidence.

Better to be thought delusional than risk eternal damnation. 😃

Atheists call theists delusional because not only do you have no evidence for God but you then go ahead and assume how he would act and what traits he would have, who he would smite and who he loves. You make these assuptions based on a 2000 year old book where you need faith not only in the supernatural but in the men or organisation who wrote it i.e the catholic church. Even with all the absurd claims like a 6000 year old earth and a global flood you still persist to believe excusing all the errors as metaphors or misinterpretations.

Its not delusional to have belief that there may have been of a creator that started the big bang, but nobodys 100% sure of that because theres no evidence! to then attach a personality to it and have a relationship with it is DELUSIONAL!!
But i dont blame anyone for being delusional because life is lonely and scary and the thought of something looking out for us is comforting.

I’m stuck on their spamlist. A few months ago they had lost so much money $70,000(?) they were at risk of closing down for good. Since then, they’ve held a ‘successful’ fund drive and have drasticaly increased both the frequency and grandiosity of their spam.

My hunch is that what you’re seeing on YouTube is a last frantic effort to drum up support before they go down for good.

Ignore them. Don’t feed the trolls. 👍

theres 3000 religions all with the same percentage of evidence,
zero percent. Roll the dice and hope you choose the right one i guess 😉

Fine, then let them offer their proof that the universe came into existence on its own. That the laws, matter and energy of the universe just sprang into existence. The demand for proof can and does cut both ways.
Many also see the presence of evil in the world as proof that there is no “loving” God. I may be wrong on this - and it is probable that different atheists believe different things for different reasons, just like everyone else. 🤷
In that case, the presence of good in the world must likewise be proof that there is a “loving” God. After all, how can a bunch of star debris (us) create “good” on its own? Again, their argument cuts both ways.

Wow, I’m totally stuned, don’t know what to say, you’re so right. Thanks. Can you help me become “normal?” Please?

I don’t know where you get your facts, but New Age is a term that is essentially incorrect in the first place. You’re encompassing way too many different movemnts. More importantly, those that are engaged in new age, new thought groups are in no way promoting atheism. To suggest that is irresponsible having no basic in fact. They are very much deists. And these various belief systems require the same degree of faith as any other.

Where you always like this in your beliefs?
No, when I was a child I had many childish beliefs.
Just curious about what made you change?
I grew up.
What if you are wrong?
That would suck. What if blinking causes you to go to hell? Better stop just in case!
Do you feel good about yourself, trying to turn others against God?
There is no god.
What is your motive for trying to force this belief on others?
I don’t have a gun. Only christians use force to make other’s believe, it’s all they have because it’s irrational and no one will believe it otherwise. They rely on either brainwashing children, taking advantage of people when they are vulnerable, like through AA or through grieving people, and often they just use violence. And only christians would equate “pointing out reality” to “force”
What do you consider proof?
That’s a very wide concept, but in general, large amounts of solid evidence in support of the concept, in far greater amounts then the evidence against.
