Good to hear from you again, antiaphrodite! Keep praying, please! 🙂

Why would He be using you? Re-read what you just wrote. You sound like Moses when he was first chosen for a tough job. He likes your humility; pride gets in His way.🙂
Thank you for the encouragement. This is a scary thing.

i’m sorry, i’ve had some things to do these past few days. of course, jew_man, i will always keep praying!

Hi everyone,
Code:
I want to let everyone know how the fundraiser play went last night. I bought my ticket a while back. My choir director and I bought our tickets for the same table. I almost didn't go because of this (and because of the fact that these two men were in the play) but I forced myself to go anyway. I didn't interact with the two men. They were on stage and I was in the audience, so our paths just never crossed. My choir diirector and I actually got along well. We had pleasant conversations and this incident wasn't mentioned all evening. I tried my best to be nice and peaceful. I wanted to project an air of serenity, and I hope I did.

By the way, these two men weren't at church today. In the midst of all this posting, I forgot to mention that they're not faithful attenders. The miss Mass and choir practice frequently. If their gay men's chorus conflicts with Mass, they choose the chorus. (But when they are at church, they go out of their way to be offensive!)

There was a prayer by Mother Teresa in my parish's bulletin this morning. I'd like to share it with all of you here. (Did I mention that I love Mother Teresa?)

 "Mary, dearest Mother,

 Give me your heart--
So beautiful,

So pure,

So immaculate,

So full of love and humility,

That I may receive Jesus

As you did–

And go in haste to give

Him to others."
I found it to be interesting that this was printed in my parish's bulletin today, because that's what I want to do. I want to do thae right thing regarding this situation, and show Yeshua throughout it all. I don't want these ment o think that I dislike them personally, however, I do want them to know that I hate their sin and the separation it puts between them and G-d. (Not to mention the desecration that receiving the Eucharist causes.) Everyone please keep praying. I think I'm going to talk to my priest this week, in private.

Uggghh I’ve just been reading what these self described ‘liberals’ have been getting up to at your parish.

The way they have treated you is disgusting, and to a new convert too. It’s an abomination. It’s as if they want to drive people away from the Church! :crying:

I can’t believe the homosexuals made up those shocking rumours about you! It’s terrible , they just know you’re right and they’re wrong, and they’re just trying to make out you’re a hypocrite. They just want to convince themselves that they are not sinning, and act as if you’re like them, and they are in the right. WELL THEY’RE NOT!! :banghead: YOU ARE!!! 😃

Stick in there Jew Man. Jesus was slandered, had terrible accusations made about him etc. Maybe God DOES have a purpose for you at this parish.

I hope that you can help improve things. Just remember that YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING. I am behind you all the way. 👍

Michael

PS. If things do get too bad though, find a new parish QUICK!!!

Thank you for the encouragement. I’ve wondered about these guys. I don’t know if they really beleive they’re wrong and they’re trying to justify their sinful relationship, or if they’ve allowed Satan to blind them to the extent that they really do believe their relationship is ok in the eyes of G-d. Either way, they’re lost.

I’m starting to wonder if maybe G-d does have me in this parish for a reason. I’ve been wondering if He wants me to stay and fight or leave. G-d bless, and thank you for the prayers! 🙂

JM,

Isn’t it amazing how God can respond to sincere prayer and fasting. With this forum, you have prayer partners at your disposal, any time of the day or night. I’m happy to hear the dinner went well.

Does your roommate plan on applying for the Parish Secretary position?

I will continue to pray for you and for your parish. It would be truly wonderful if your pastor found some fully faithful replacements for these positions. I’m also happy to hear that you intend to talk to the pastor privately this coming week. With his having to fill two very important positions, your talk may be at just the right time for him to consider the full opportunity he has at this time. God Bless you JM!

How are you doing through all this?

God Bless,

CARose

Oh My!! JM, I was on vacation last week. But while vacationing, suddenly, out of nowhere the thought came to me that I should pray for you! NO JOKE! Now I know why! EGAD!

Listen, I don’t think you get a “sponsor” until the official class begins in the fall. I think this is when they assign sponsors or you ask someone if they will help you and then talk to the RCIA director about it. I’m pretty sure your sponsor needs to go to a good deal of the classes with you and I think they need to be approved too. You might keep that in mind when asking someone. One of my friends who converted joined RCIA and she didn’t like the sponsor they gave her, but as time went on she grew to really love this woman.

On another note (no pun intended HA!) These 3 others that left your parish, did they go to the other Catholic Church in town? Does your roommate know how they like it? I’m just curious. Like others have already said, there are problems everywhere and the more involved one becomes the more obvious are the problems.

I’m glad there are positive changes happening without too much ugly confrontation. Thank G-D everyone is praying so hard. The prayer by Mother Teresa in the bulletin is REALLY special!! How cool is THAT?!!!

I’m doing ok. Better than I was, at least. I’ve been better, but I’ve been worse too. I’m hanging in there.

Yes, my roommate does plan to apply for the parish secretary position. He’s not even entertaining the notion of leaving this parish. He says he’s done nothing wrong, so there’s no reason for him to leave. I hope he does get the job. He would be good at it, and I think he’d be good for the parish too.

Thank you for the prayers for the parish. I too am praying that good, faithful replacements will fill the RCIA and DRE slots. That would be so good for this parish. I think it’ll be good for this current RCIA directorto leave. I’ll keep you posted.

That is amazing, Walburga! It seems G-d truly is working in this situation, for you to suddenly feel the urge to pray for me while on vacation! 🙂

Yes, I do have some acquaintances who left this parish for the other one in my area. According to what they’ve told my roommate, this other parish is faithful and traditional. They all ahve said thatt they left my current parish in favor of the other one because mine is too liberal and the other is conservative. If the situation in my parish doesn’t improve, I am entertaining the idea of leaving and going to the other one. However, I don’t want to throw my hands up and leave as a first option.

I’m encouraged by these new developments as well. I hope the RCIA director and DRE leave soon and are replaced by faithful people.

Perhaps this is the time to encourage them to return and be seeds of change in your parish. With the two parish positions opened up, a group of faithful parishoners may be just what is needed to set the stage for a renewal towards the faith given to us by Christ, through the Magesterium of the Church.

This faith understands that there will never be women priests, and that acting upon ones sinful nature is sinful and requires repentance, not prideful disclosure.

I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep my marriage in your prayers. It also needs attention.

The Elijah syndrome: Elijah with the strength of the Lord confronted Ahab and the prophets of Baal, taunting them and in the end killed all the prophets of Baal. (1 Kings 18) Yet after doing these mighty deeds and hearing that Jezebel threatened his life for doing this in the very next chapter (19) he became afraid and hid. His greatest fear was thinking that he was alone. Well he was not alone for the Lord had others who were faithful, and He strengthened him.

Do not lose heart for you are not alone in this. Ahab and Jezebel were done away with. Stick with it.

These parishioners won’t come back. They don’y like my parish, and they’re very happy where they are now.

Of course I’ll pray for your marriage. I’m sorry that you’re having problems. As always, your prayers are very much appreciated.

Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, I love the story of Elijah. G-d worked beautifully in that situation, didn’t He? All of your prayers must be making a difference. I’m feeling better now than when I first started this thread. I’ll let you all know what happens when I talk to my priest.

I’m sorry that they are unwilling / unable to return to your parish. We are meant to attend the parish in which we reside. When we encounter difficulties or a priest who fails in some way, we, the laity of the parish are meant to pray for the priest and the parish.

God Bless you in your continued efforts with your parish.

Thank you CARose! G-d bless you as you work on your marital issues. 🙂

As it turns out, my priest is out of town and won’t be back until Saturday, so I’ll have to talk to him next week.

More time to get prayed up I guess. 🙂
